TOPIC: Badge Registration

Badge Registration 2 months 3 days ago #1

well, I just got my vig badge and companion badge. I went ahead and got my hotel rooms. everything went really smooth. the whole process didn't take long, and the hiccups that I did encounter were my own doing. myself being technology challenged.

I'm hoping for an equally glitch-free experience when both housing and event registration opens up. Although, I'm not as concerned about housing since we've got our backup rooms lined up (I have zero confidence in getting a downtown room through the housing block anymore).

housing and events is where it all goes south. :S

a couple years ago a friend couldn't get a hotel to save his life. his group got event tickets just in case they could get a close room. they ended up staying home.

anyways, I hope everyone does well. :)

I miss the days when we all had the chance in housing to click at the same time to try to get houses, even though it led to system crashes. We sometimes did OK with that, and even when we didn't at least we felt like we had a chance. Ever since we went to the lottery, I've always gotten times that are so late in the day that you knew there was zero chance of getting a hotel (leading me to always get a house out of block now). I'm glad they aren't also doing event registration that way.

I have always stayed by the airport and it has never diminished my groups experience. It’s a 15 min drive with easy access to Lucas oil parking and it’s only 150$ a night for a 6 person room.

I should rent out my house on the north side - Carmel. Not sure my wife would go for it though...
