A Ioun Stone that makes you immune to Charm as a Rare

I would like to see more common tokens with "minor" effects that are on the party card.
New players use commons more than anyone else, and asking them to remember situational effects is I think far too difficult.

I loved the common ioun stone from this year, +1 fort save if you equip no other ioun stones, but I thought it was a little too weak. I could see either +1 to all saves if you equip no other Ioun Stones, or create a series of these, though I would be firmly in another camp.

More items like the shirt that gives +1 hp, the amulets that give +2 or +3 hp (so new players can learn about different slots).

Leg slot item that gives +1 dex

Belt slot + 1 con

Hand slot +1 Str

Perhaps a drawback for these if needed for gameplay balance.

I LOVED the Ioun Stone Norse Opal.

Basic armors we haven't seen yet, or haven't seen in awhile (Ring, Scale, Banded, Padded armor, etc)

Basic, unusual weapons.

I’d like to see at Ioun Stone a common cycle that adds +1 to a save each year in the ark with no drawbacks
So 2020 +1 will, 2021 +1 reflect, 2022 +1 fortitude
These would be good commons but not over powered since you still need to use a slot for them

I agree that they do not feel overpowered, Except last year's +1 Fort Ioun stone required you not to equip any others.
Also, a few years back there was a cycle of uncommon earcuffs that gave +1 to each of the 3 saves.
Given that earcuff is a more competitive slot than Ioun Stone based on number you can equip, I would think they would need to either be rare or have a draw back.

The reason I like the idea of no drawback is I like the idea of these tokens feeling useful like the Norse opal
And Ioun Stone Beryl Prism would be equal to 3 of these proposed Ioun stones but only taking up 1 slot.
I tried last year to get the restitution removed from the common and uncommon Ioun Stone with no luck.

I agree that +1 to a specific save with no draw back would be fantastic on ioun stones. If it can't be common, it should be uncommon.

Charm of Persistence
Common
-1 damage from Push damage

Change to an uncommon/rare by reducing Push by 2 or cutting it in half.

Charm of Experimentation
Common
-1 damage from puzzle (not Push damage)

Change to an uncommon/rare by reducing damage by 2 or change token type and make it a once per game "Reduce all future puzzle damage for current room to 0. (1/game)"

Same/similar thematic title, move above effect to a different token: +3 to saves vs puzzles.

As a casual player, I took far more damage from puzzles than anything else. There are also hardly any tokens besides ones that impact HP that matter for puzzles.

The reality is that HP are the single most important thing for surviving to room 7 and basking in max XP for normal/hardcore IME. Would be better to just gain HP (especially through Con increases), but there are already plenty of tokens that do that.

Sure, the design space for puzzle room tokens is far, far less, but it's mostly untapped at this point.

Between haunted house and tomb of terror it feels like a bit of horror movie theme, maybe play with that for a bit of humor:

Heeled shoe or Stiletto Pump: +1 will save, 1 increased push damage on failed combat room (or maybe just -1 reflex to make it easier to understand)

It would sort of make more sense as "On failed combat every player's push damage is applied to you instead" but that would get extremely deadly almost immediately and would require a pretty massive boost for the risk.

How about something simple, we dont have an iounstone of +1 ac yet.

Or a simple synergy item, at common there would be a good chance of double turning up in the party. Something like +1hp, +1 more hp if the party equips 5 or more. It wouldn't affect the party card and would be a good team building experience before the party left the coaching room.

Finally what about combining the 50gp item with the concept of rumors, 50gp rumor, turn in during coaching for a clue.
