TOPIC: Gen Con Completion Tokens

Gen Con Completion Tokens 4 years 11 months ago #1

Will Odin's Redux (Sealed Quest) and True Grind Live! have their own unique completion tokens (or at least different from E1, E2 & E3)? Am I correct that Odin's Redux will only have one completion token possibility (it can't be played harder than normal)? Does True Grind Live! have more than one completion token (that is, one for normal and a different one for hardcore)?

And an only tangentially related question -- how is the difficulty of True Grind Live! on normal compared to normal combat in a regular adventure? Normal per room but just more combat to complete, hardcore, nightmare?

Traditionally Grind as 1 unique completion token no matter the difficulty. I doubt that is changing.

I think Grind combat is about 1 level higher. So Normal grind is about Hardcore combat, but I have no data to back that up.

Seems to be about 1 level higher than normal runs. Hardcore grind is similar to nightmare nirmal. Etc.

If similar to the paat there would be 8 unique tokens. E1 thru E3 having two each. Sealed having one. Grind having one.

The sealed run had two possibilities for completion token last year. But, that might be because it was added late and they didn't have enough of one kind, so they started with one until they ran out and then switched.

This would be my guess too:

I wouldnt mind seeing boots of inferno step or soul coffers as completion tokens for Odins since both are 2018.

It seems like very few of those have made there way onto the secondary market after appearing at Pax.

You never know unless you ask. Lots of people thought n3 had sailed too but it's back. If a 2018 dungeon, and 2018 xp are still in the mix in 2019 I dont see why popular and under supplied 2018 completion tokens couldn't resurface too.

Ok, here's another reason it seems unlikely. You can't run Odin's Redux on Hardcore and both tokens you listed are Hardcore completion tokens.

I never said it was likely only that I'd like to see it. And whi says you cant run Odins on HC, granted you'll probably die but since when has that ever stopped us ;)
