TOPIC: Squeezing runs in as a volunteer?

Squeezing runs in as a volunteer? 5 years 5 months ago #1

Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Going to PAX South and going to be volunteering for the first time, but my schedule makes it basically impossible to fit any runs in (11 - 9 both days).

Do people swap shifts? Or barring being able to actually play, I'll be honest - I just want to pull some treasure tokens, man. Maybe find an empty slot, buy tickets, and proceed directly to epilogue?

Any thoughts?

With the exception of the volunteer runs some of the guys have decided to sponsor, I don’t think there are many options I’m sorry to say. Jeff made it clear that it was some pax south rules changes causing the problem.

We are volunteering part-time and have bought out several runs on Friday including the last run for Odin Haven on Friday night.

We have a local gaming group that will be filling some of the slots, but will open up the others to other volunteers who want to join us in their room or want to sponsor a newbie to do a run for tokens.

Will keep you posted as soon as we know how many slots we'll have.

I suppose it depends on what you're doing as a volunteer, and if your coordinator would be ok with your jumping out.

I bought out runs that "start" at 7:48 and 7:49, with the intent of allowing volunteers to join when they can. Please see these threads for details.

We plan to play on Nightmare, and know we may be down a couple people for the start.

If you truly finish at 9, I would think that means you could join us after room 3 or 4. My math may be a bit off.

24 min coaching
12 min training takes us to 8:24 pm

12 min per room means join between rooms 3 and 4.

Again, check with TPTB.
