TOPIC: Free action

I was wondering what the actual rules on free action are? The defender set says gain free action so is this just get one extra standard action per room? Or does it allow you to use the tokens that say “as a free action”

It’s better to think of it as free movement
(immunity to hold, paralyze, and slow spells or effects, as well as spider’s webbing or similar sticky substances). I figure this will be changed on the database later this year to reflect the new terminology that is bing used on Bead of the lucky traveler.

As for actions you get 1 action and 1 free action per an initiative. Free action can be things like switching weapons and such. Some tokens like Pouch of Tulz allow you to do something on your free action that normally requires a standard action.

As Wayne said - it’s confusin as there has been a rules terminology change.

Things which used to grant “free action” now grant “free movement” - the effect has not changed which is immunity to hold, slow, and other hinderances like sticky webs. Defender set grants free movement.

Each round your charachter May take up to one standard action and up to one free action. Some items allow you to perform things “as a free action” that normally wouldn’t be allowed as a free action.
