none, really
I may be wrong, but I got the impression this was aimed at folks who hadn't already planned their stats at home.

Actually it was aimed at people that did plan their stats and ideally parties at home. TDCC allows each player to update their build and it automatically syncs the party card. Hence people could be planning their builds a few minutes before the event and then print the most up to date party card.

Clearly someone could use TDCC onsite to build a character from scratch but that could take 2 to 30 minutes and if someone is waiting to print we need to give the person looking to print a party card the priority.

I suspect you will get lots of thank yous from the coaches if you bring in a pre-printed party card where they don't have to fill one out. Even if you don't have all 10 people on the party card at least then they only have to transcribe the numbers and verify your tokens - saves a lot of time.

Since I coach I just want to be clear......Are You are going to be using the same 11x17 card stock the normal party cards are printed on? SO when presented with one of those, we won't use one of the pre-printed cards because yours will substitute?

That is the plan. IF for any reason you feel you need to transcribe everything you should do so.

Is there any minimum number of players for you to print? Is there any time cutoff before the run when you won’t print?

Nope - one character is fine. It will be first come first served so if there is a line of 3 and you want to print it shouldn't be extremely long but don't show up at 10 minute after your ticket time and expect to get a card printed.

That sounds cool. Do you have a supplier of legal-size cardstock? Jeff has said it's a pain to get because no print shops keep it in stock, they have to special order it.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

I just spoke with Jeff and he is sending me a ream of the card stock so I can verify it works.

Nothing, if there is no Internet there can be no retrieving of online characters. I have had the same provider for both Lucas Oil events and both times I was able to retrieve my characters online so I believe it will be possible - I am optimistic. I will do some tests during the build to make sure.

Ok. I'm curious who your carrier is. You are having better results than I have had.

Following up on my AirPrint question earlier

On my iPad when I go to download a party card as PDF, it does not default to Acrobat to open. In fact Acrobat isn't even on the list of possibilities. Is there some setting I need to adjust?

I'm not criticizing what you are dong Ed, just trying to expand the options.

Thanks.

If you are using the TDCC to make your character then you will be able to print it at my station. Any other printing that works will be a bonus but other tools will not tested before hand nor guaranteed. We may be able to do those at a later convention.
