I was bard and not turned into a chicken. I am sure I died but I don't think from being turned into a chicken.

What is the damage wheel on the 'curse - polymorph chicken' token?
this is not a signature.

IIRC the saps who fondled the duck became a duck. No damage wheel since the ducks sat there quacked and laid eggs.

I'm in a Lorigorgon friday night that I believe has several newer players and several that either are not on the forums or haven't chimed in yet. I'm really concerned about a TPK in the first few minutes if it's a bunch of players that dobt know what to expect.

I'll second this concern. I helped one self proclaimed tecnophobe set up her character for this run. If this scenario is anything like True Horde, she is hideously vulnerable to a one shot death. We expect lots of death and a fair chance of TPK. But it won't be much fun if substantial numbers of players die in the first 5 minutes.

Is this a case of people not reading the description? Or does the description need to be even more blunt? Something like: "Please don't sign up for this event if you don't have experience playing True Grind on Nightmare difficulty."

Here is the event description.

Two groups of ten players must face the fiercest foe ever to appear in TD history! The LoriGorgon shall devour their souls! Special rules apply for combat and all players should have optimized builds of Treasure Tokens in order to survive. It is most likely that your character will die a horrible death at the hands of the LoriGorgon, so be warned!
Please bring your character pre-built (built with one of the online character creators) and printed out for the Coach to see. Death will most likely find you, so be prepared to root for the other players as the LoriGorgon dines on your entrails.

I don't know that "optimized builds" really conveys what is needed for this event.

I think a large number of tickets on the run made it to day three of ticket sales.

I’m guessing a lot of people didn’t look past the price. “Look, this one is only $20, let’s try that one.” It’s how more than a few people seem to treat Grind at GC.

Sounds like, if you don’t know everyone in your party from the forums, you might want to bring a spare Nightmare build or two to loan out.

From what I recall, the DM's were allowed to give debits to players that reduced the damage they took. For example I was provided a 50% debit to all incoming damage. This was a significant impact otherwise I would have died in a single blow.

Hopefully, the DM's for this event will make concessions for under-geared players. Is Eric running this all weekend?
