TOPIC: Success!

Success! 5 years 11 months ago #1

Well...sweet. Our new TD ticket selling website (td.events) premiered and worked flawlessly today, and so far we have sold about 1,100 tickets an hour into sales. I am very happy that we decided to take over selling tickets for TD at Origins, and we are grateful for the fine folks at GAMA/Origins who were very supportive of the idea. They are nice folks at GAMA!

We did not promote tickets much this month for Origins as we wanted a "soft" opening for our new website. We will now do some promotion on social media -- as well as some other web-based endeavors. If you have any gamer shows or podcasts that you'd love to see TD appear on, please let them now. We'd love to talk about our plans for TD.

Anyway, a big thanks to the folks at GAMA for allowing us to sell our own tickets -- as well as my awesome brother, Doug Martin, who put our new website together.

Signing up for games of True Dungeon was utterly blissful! Simple, easy, and I actually got all the games I wanted, now I just have to connect with my parties.
Played Druid (4) Bard (2) Paladin (1or2) Rogue (1) Monk (1) Cleric (1) Wizard (1)

Not a token collector - I want to play as much as I can.
Setting up and taking down the dungeon is tremendous FUN! I will absolutely be volunteering to do this every year at Origins from 2019 on!

I did happen to get all the runs in for my group that I wanted at the times that I wanted them, so hurray for that. But more generally, it was an absolute dream registering. I detected no lag, it was easy to use and checkout was a breeze.

Great job guys, it was literally the least stressful registration I have had for any con events ever.

One more kudos to a job well done, while I sit here trying to register for anything else at Origins. Looking at a blank non-loading screen for 25 minutes in the middle of a work day. Can you guys give the Origins team some pointers?

Looks great AND functions great! What more can you ask for?

As far as podcasts to promote TD...

I talked to the guys at High Shelf Gaming Podcast after their initial TD podcast and they were in the planning stages for a part 2. I told them to reach out to you but here's their link if they haven't done so already.

If you're looking to tap a broader untapped market that probably has a lot of crossover at Origins but especially at Gen Con, I recommend the H.P. Lovecraft Literary Podcast. Warpo sponsored one of their shows and there was a good return on our investment
