TOPIC: Back to back slot advice

I am the scheduler of events for my gaming group. In the past I have scheduled back to back slots of TD and was really cutting it close. What is the minimum time between slots you would recommend?

I am also the keeper of the tokens and have finally devised a system that I think can take a lot of the headache out of equipping everyone (basically I have sets for different classes that are in a clear plastic coin holders with clear tape) - in other words I don't have to re-organize tokens between slots.

I would suggest 10 minutes gap. Keep in mind the end time of the event is the time you will enter the Epilogue room and start getting your treasure. That takes a few minutes. Then perhaps a few minutes to use the bathroom and get to your new coaching room.

Having a preprinted party card or at least all characters created in the app solves a LOT of headaches.

Would recommend that, and probably a 12 min gap between runs, to allow for bathroom break, protein bar, etc.

That said, some actually do a -12 min gap because they are so prepared. Not recommended necessarily.

Though certainly not officially required, if you're doing back-to-back runs, having all your stats prepped ahead of time is a practical requirement. You're shooting yourself in the foot if you don't.

As a coach, I can tell you if you come into a coaching room With all of your characters on her pre-printed sheet or even better on one of the apps, It will make everyone’s life a lot easier including the other players in the room and the coach. Not to mention that if it’s one of the authorized apps then you gain an additional hit point for having that done in advance

So I would plan to have a minimum of 24 minutes between the end and start of a run as a minimum unless you are in a bind schedule wise

Why would that be? I would imagine they will have both 2017 and 2018 treasure chips available, and one could pull at one's leisure. Or did I miss something about that somewhere?

All 2017 chips will need to be pulled before the end of Origins I'm sure.

If treasure chips aren't available, then I missed an annoucement somewhere. I also think it would be a huge mistake. When a veteran group is each pulling 19 tokens, it will take more than 12 minutes to give them participation tokens and oversee the pulls. By definition they will quickly back up and you'll soon need a 30 minute gap between runs. That's a recipe for a lot of angry people. As indicated, I assume 2017 chips need to be used before the end of the con.

I seem to recall a discussion about having treasure be pulled and not treasure chips provided.

Not sure what it was about.

I know there was a discussion, but I can't find it. I found this from Jeff:

"Both 2017 and 2018 will be given out at Origins -- depending on the module you play. Both will be redeemable at Origins but only in treasure chests stocked with either 2017 or 2018 treasure respectively."

No mention of treasure chips on this one though.

I can see where that could be interpreted multiple ways. And it's probably the way I want to interpret it, but to me it says that both 2017 and 2018 treasure chips will be given out at Origins depending upon the module you play and both are redeemable at Origins, but only from the appropriate treasure chest (2017 or 2018).
