I was hesitant to NOT make the Saint Power choice permanent given everyone is getting an unique glpyh on their token. However, perhaps we can now say that the Mark of Enlightenment marks you as someone who has a direct connection to the Ten Saints (and their realm) so you can decide at the start of each adventure who you wish to beseech for aid. Thus, we can allow players to pick their Saint each adventure. Maybe we say you must sacrifice 1,000 GP to a fellow non-Saint player to activate it each game? Seems like a nice little sacrifice is in order.

The question is what to put on the token. It could all have standard langue saying something like:
"May chose 1 Saint Power at start" along with "see tokendb.com" text

Thoughts?

Powers of the Ten Saints

St. Wilton
May equip 1 additional Head Slot item Yes, it stacks with any other Head slot expander

I suspect this will end up being the most powerful option - in the long term this token scales with power creep and the others don't. There's never been an Arcanum or Eldrtich set item in the head slot, and there's only one legendary and it's 7 years old - so I kind of expect sooner or later to get something big in that slot.

Since Cranston's Helpful Hat exists, this also has the modularity of effectively offering:

+1 Head Slot
Or
+1 Lenses Slot & +2 to Ranged Damage (unless you're already wearing Cranston's Helpful Hat).

If this does go forward, I'd revert the effect back to "May equip 2 head slot items (does not stack with other Head Slot Item Expanders, including Follower Sprite)."

Another idea for a similar effect:

1. You may equip an additional head slot item as long is it does not impact the party card or slots (including via set bonuses).

That at least makes this easier for the character builders I suspect.

For St. Gubb - I assume you must still be in possession of an Eldritch Runestone to benefit from its first power?

Maybe have 1 chosen (on the token) and can sacrifice their 10-pack to pick a different saint instead for that run?

Request:

- Please get rid of the extra head slot item and replace the option with bonus HP and AC. A slot expander option for this Token doesn't go along with the rest of the powers, and has the potential to be OP down the road.

Comment for everyone worried about paying GP to switch a power:

- You don't have to switch your power. This was never going to be an option in the first place, the powers were all fixed and you were going to have to pick one that was permanent. This would be an OPTION, which is a boon above what was originally planned. Because of this I have a hard time finding any sympathy for people who are complaining about having to pay GP to switch a power. You should be happy! Or do you want it to go back to just having a fixed power? I just don't get the complaining on this if it sticks.

Please re-read Jeff’s post at the top of this thread. Everyone so far has read this as he is suggesting that now the Marks have NO default power, and we will have to pick every time we use the Mark and donate 1K GP every time.

The ‘have a default that always works for free and then only pay to switch’ was suggested as a compromise, to not have to pay gold every time we play.

Comment for everyone worried about paying GP to switch a power:

Post 1 is about paying GP to *activate* a power every run. Hope that clears things up for you.

Making a PTE doesn’t mean I have unlimited gold lying around. So yes, I would rather go back to a fixed power if another solution can’t be found. I don’t mind a small sacrifice, but a 1k bar is way too much.

My mistake, I thought that was the latest change.
