TOPIC: Shoutout and Praise to a Combat DM

Hello Everyone,

I don't post here much except to handle a few details of grouping and trade. This year however I just wanted to give feedback to a great Combat DM I ended up having for both E3 (Thursday handling spell casters) and E2 (Friday evening soloing the Demon in a box room) David Phillips . Both times and with different groups of players he did his part in making the experience above and beyond just the normal encounter. The first one was hardcore. He made sure combat flowed fast which is always a bonus and kept in line with the physical damage DM. The second encounter we were over geared on normal but he still made sure to extend the combat interacting with the monster and player, adding dramatic flair between swings and comedy. When one of only 2 geared players (The Rogue) crit backstabbed for damage he just put ?? in the total and brought the monster to 1 health. The brand new monk the next round was close to a 20 and he nudged it to make sure the new player got the crit and kill.

He was serious and accurate when he needed to be and made an easy encounter something special for all players in our party. I made sure to jot down his name and give him this shout out.
