TOPIC: Polymorph on Party Card Question

Polymorph on Party Card Question 4 years 9 months ago #1

I ported my party data to the new version of the Party Card, which includes Polymorph Damage, but I'm still a bit confused about how are the Polymorph stats calculated from the Party Card.

For my Druid, it shows +10 to Hit for Melee, with a Poly: 10 Box. Does that mean it's a total of +20 to hit for Polymorph?

For Damage, I show +16 Melee Damage, with a Poly: 12 box. Does that mean it totals +28 damage while polymorphed?

Just bumping to see if anyone knows how to hit and damage are calculated for Polymorph from the data on the Party Card. I'll assume they both just add up if I don't hear anything, since I'm pretty sure the damage adds up and it makes sense the two would be consistent.

Add up your to hit and damage to see if it makes sense. I am assuming you are using either the +5 Baton or the new Druid Legendary which should give you +5 to hit and the Druid 5th level is also +5 to hit when polymorphed getting +10 to hit. Your other +to hit should be easy to find.

Ed, actually, the only Legendary tokens in the group are Charms of Avarice. Lots of Relics and URs though. :)

Thanks,
Mike

Iktomi's Necklace doesn't give a to-hit bonus as far as I can see. Not does Keen Polymorph ability on the Druid card (it gives +5 damage). To my knowledge there is no token that adds to Polymorph to-hit beyond what your melee to-hit is (I'm happy to be corrected). So the +10 to-hit on Polymorph is simply your melee to-hit.

Yep, sorry on that to hit was thinking damage.

So, obviously not an official answer, but even not seeing his build this seems obvious to me...and i suspect it is obvious to mike, too. So i wonder why he isnt just reporting this as an inconsistency in the builder display...

Looks like polymorph to-hit and damage are displayed differently on the builder you use.
Assuming you dont somehow have +10 to-hit with polymorph, above and beyond your regular to-hit, the builder is clearly displaying your total to-hit in the polymorph to-hit box.
For damage, well, your polymorph damage isnt going to be lower than regular melee damage. I am guessing you have items giving +7 polymorph damage (relic baton, shirt and tome of focus?) plus 5 for being druid. So, polymorph damage box needs to be added to the regular melee damage box.

I agree this is inconsistent and should be changed. Preferably using the to-hit method of using the total value in the polymorph box.
this is not a signature.

I suspected what you're saying, but wasn't sure enough to list it as a discrepancy. I'll go ahead and do it now.
