It wouldn't surprise me if it was something about what does Kermit do? Jump....lol.

he was also the original Mr Green...

Is there a "Green Room" for volunteers? Or a Green Room in downtown Indy?

So mention of 3 stars could be tied to the 3 stars in orion’s Belt. The lettering also lines up with the sample image which now shows stars in the image which would again lean towards orion’s Belt. Then the mention of a hand of bronze in the riddle and a story of Orion who wielded a club of solid bronze in his hand. A lot of similarities there.

I didn’t see any stories that mentioned anything special about his belt or him breaking it. That part could easily be tied to a background for the token being created by Jeff/Druegar.

In the end whether it relates or not it doesn’t change where we are currently leaning towards. I was just saying it added to the weight of the token being related to Orion.

I agree that everything we have seen makes it more and more likely Orion's Belt. It is not 100% set at this point but I would being to put money on it. I just am not getting a connection between a hand of bronze and someone using a bronze club. I bet most folks don't even know he used a bronze club because it is not a common story about him. The constellation is of him using a bow.

Most depictions of Orion that I see are of him raising a club up over his head, and the line he holds out in front of his body either being a shield or pelt hanging from his arm.

Typing "Greek myth bronze" into Google autocompletes to "greek myth bronze giant", which is Talos. But I don't see any myths that tie Orion and Talos together.

Searching "Greek myth bronze hand" results in a wikipedia page for Sabazios.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabazios

Sabazios (Ancient Greek: Σαβάζιος, romanized: Sabázios, modern pronunciation Savázios) is the horseman and sky father god of the Phrygians and Thracians. In Indo-European languages, such as Phrygian, the -zios element in his name derives from dyeus, the common precursor of Latin deus ('god') and Greek Zeus. Though the Greeks interpreted Phrygian Sabazios[3] as both Zeus and Dionysus,[4] representations of him, even into Roman times, show him always on horseback, as a nomadic horseman god, wielding his characteristic staff of power.
...

Sabazios is also associated with a number of archeological finds depicting a bronze, right hand in the benedictio latina gesture. The hand appears to have had ritual significance and may have been affixed to a sceptre (as the one carried by Sabazios on the Philippopolis slab). Although there are many variations, the hand of Sabazios is typically depicted with a pinecone on the thumb and with a serpent or pair of serpents encircling the wrist and surmounting the bent ring and pinky fingers. Additional symbols occasionally included on the hands of Sabazios include a lightning bolt over the index and middle fingers, a turtle and lizard on the back of the hand, an eagle, a ram, a leafless branch, the thyrsos, and the Mounted Heros.

Orion Constellation

Club
Stretching north from Betelgeuse are the stars that make up Orion's club. Mu Orionis marks the elbow, Nu and Xi mark the handle of the club, and Chi1 and Chi2 mark the end of the club. Just east of Chi1 is the Mira-type variable red giant U Orionis.

All the constellation images i’ve come across have Orion wielding a club and shield. I’ve been trying to find one with the bow with no luck yet.

So, the connection I make is there is bronze in his hand (club...rather bronze club mentioned in the story) hence the riddle hand of bronze. I don’t think it’s meant to be take quite literally as a hand made of bronze.

Earlier in the thread someone had brought up that clocks often have bronze hands. So bronze hand might mean time.

Diana placed Orion amongst the stars holding his arched bow, carrying his golden sword and club, whilst wearing the skin of a lion. His two dogs, Sirius following behind, and Pleiades leading him in his hunt throughout the night.

I don't know what is in the Homer's Odyssey about his bronze club. I know it exist but I know no stories about it. I know of one of the stories of his death involving Diana and Apollo and his death.

According to myth, Orion was the son of Poseidon the sea god and Euryale, daughter of King Minos of Crete. Poseidon gave Orion the power to walk on water. Homer in the Odyssey describes Orion as a giant hunter, armed with an unbreakable club of solid bronze. In the sky, the hunter’s dogs (the constellations Canis Major and Canis Minor) follow at his heels, in pursuit of the hare (the constellation Lepus).

But it can be equally likely that bronze hand referred to time and this was just a coincidence.

Right but in Homer's Odyssey there is no story of Orion. I am pretty sure Odysseus just sees him in the underworld and that is the only mention of him having a bronze club.

Again I don't know of any myth or story of him having a bronze club. He did in the Odyssey without doubt.

Granted my degree in Classical Civilizations was not specializing in myths. I also cannot say I have translated all of the Odyssey and definitely not that section. Also it was a long time ago and I do not use my degree at all in my current career. All that said I still do not know of any references to his 'bronze' club beyond Homeric's Odyssey. So unless someone knows the Odyssey really really well, (or their is a story/myth that I don't know or remember) the likelihood that the bronze club is known is low, in my opinion.

If someone does have a story/myth involving his bronze club please let me know because though I don't use my degree any more, I am still very interested in Greek and Roman myths/stories.

Would be funny if all you needed to do is hold a black light over the tokens.
