I felt this way at first but I think it's somewhat interesting for ur fighter type builds.

You could equip:

Crown of Might
Redoubt Helm
Redoubt Plate
Scepter of might
Orb of might
Redoubt shield (ranged offhand)

To get +4 to str, +1/+1 to hit in melee, and level 5

Agreed. I've got Amulets of Wonder for our whole group, but it's been awhile since the effect has been good enough for us to use them.

We really enjoyed the first couple of years of Grind, but we're only doing the regular runs now. Many of my group only want to do one or two True Dungeon events a year given how high the prices are now, so we focus on just the regular Dungeons. :)

I was thinking about the sets too. Someone could equip Legendary + Relic Redoubt Helm to get 2 towards that set bonus. Not super helpful though unless you just wanted to max AC... but then you'd use Redoubt Plate & Shield anyway.

If you just care about melee stats, you'd lose 3 STR from your Amulet to gain a head slot. Crown of Might isn't worth it unless you are going for set bonuses there.

tokendb.com/token/helm-of-the-boar/ is the most interesting one to me because in a max damage build, +3 STR from an Amulet is only +1.5 dmg (not really, but for comparison purposes it is) while Helm of the Boar is +2 dmg. In that kind of build I don't think you can give up Charm Necklace though... there are a lot of damage charms available now.

If playing with Kent I'd probably just take Helm of the Boar or Crown of Might (class-depending) and be happy with that.

I like the head slot choice much better than the neck slot duplication.

For spell-casters, this is, potentially, a very big benefit - having both a crown of expertise and a crown of elemental mastery is pretty nice. For melee-types, you get your redoubt (or similar) helm plus a crown of might or crown of expertise or even more AC with a hat of the hellbane.

I like this because it is pretty straightforward. At the same time, it's not a gimme because that neck slot is awfully hard to give up. Rogue or Druid, you just can't do it if you have the legendary token. Even for others you are giving up pretty significant stat bonuses (amulet of vahalla, amulet of the champion, Stu's), the biggest charm expander (charming necklace), and paladin giving up amulet of guarding.

I think this quite a bit.

Just a quick note that for 2019 True Raid, we'll just use the standard Variable Token Effects.

Amulet of Wonder: Extra Head Slot
Eldritch Runestone: Fire reduction
UR Special: Angelic subtype
