This is what we're thinking about doing for the variable effect tokens this season:

Eldritch Runestone
Fire damage inflicted upon the user is reduced by 5 points per attack

Amulet of Wonder
Sacrifice two charm slots, but gain +2 neck slots (i.e., -2 charms, +2 necks--this is in addition to the one neck slot taken up by the Amulet of Wonder)

UR Special
Character gains the “Angelic” sub-type with the following benefits:
  • +4 to Dexterity (+2 To Hit with ranged attacks, +2 to AC, and +2 to Reflex saving throws)
  • Heal Other: Once per game, you may heal 4 HP on another character (no bonuses can be applied to this heal; you may not target yourself)
  • Immune to possession

AoW + Charm Necklace ==> the net is +1 Charm for no downside :)

I think that is what he is saying. So you can wear whatever neckslot you were going to wear and get +1 Charm (assuming you have AoW and Charm Necklace.

I thought that initially too but the Charm Necklace takes a slot also.
Neck 1: AoW
Neck 2 (from AoW): Charm Necklace
Neck 3 (from AoW): free for whatever (if you didn't do AoW/CN you would've had 1 anyway, so the net Necks is 0)
Charms are -2, +3 for a net of +1.

Do I think it's overpowered, no, but a nice little min-max for those who have both.

Of course Jedi may be right and the idea scrapped anyway due to character builder issues...

Seems a little on the meh side. Maybe add a bit of RP flare and say it includes a sudo-demonic sub type. Doesn't have to do anything but could be a fun way to bait out a few more rune stones. If we wanted to bump it up a little more maybe it could parallel the angelic powers a bit by adding possession immunity too.

This sounds like it would be a heck of a lot of fun from a build disruption perspective. I like it.

Could we also maybe consider adding immunity to the lost one effect since soul coffers have been really hard to find thus far.

All in all sounds like a fun bunch of effects.

Eldritch Runestone: seems good.

Amulet of Wonder: I'm going to echo jedibcg in begging for mercy for the app makers. As far as the power goes, it's an interesting one. I think it makes for interesting build decisions, but a token that limits charm slots the year after CoAS was made seems a little bad to me, even if someone with the right tokens can effectively negate the drawback.

UR Special: flavorful, but seems undertuned compared to pre-2018 boons. I think it's -roughly- in line with last year's effect on strength. I don't possess one, but this set of boons would not be interesting enough for me to use one (or seek one out from someone else to use).

Eldritch Runestone and Special look fine.

For AoW, I would recommend adding 2 slots other than neck or wrist, to avoid using an item to gain more charm slots. Maybe add 2 ring slots or 2 ioun stone slots. I can't speak for the other Character Generators, but adding Ioun Stone slots is not difficult, and subtracting 2 charm slots is not overly difficult. Emptying the charm slots would be dicey. If someone has a Charm Bracelet, giving 2 extra charm slots, and then equip AoW, which slots do I empty? Probably the last 2 ...hmmm. Probably should work just to empty the last 2. Keeping the stats straight is easy, it's just keeping the build easy to understand. It can work, but I would recommend against 2 additional Neck Slots or Wrist Slots.

I really liked at True Realm where when we used the AoW, it gave us a neck slot token to reflect the effect. Something like that again would be really neat.
