TOPIC: VIG GenCon 2019

The reality is the hotel access alone justifies the VIG badge. If you only have 1-2 people per hotel room, getting 2-3 rooms is really tough with the portal and have them all be downtown. That leaves you to buy off the regular market where you'll pay $500+/night for regular hotel rooms downtown. Over the course of the con a single room will cost you an extra $1,000 paying for VIG.

Losing early access is a bummer but considering the early hotel block access, the swag bag, and the events that are VIG exclusives - it's a nice combination. True Dungeon even has slots exclusive to VIGs that regular attendees can't buy into - they are hidden throughout the con.

For the wife and I the VIG (if we can get in) pays for itself in not having to pay 2200 dollars for the 6 nights at a downtown hotel out of block. I'd rather pay 1200-1300 and the VIG. It causes less stress for us to knowing we can get a downtown hotel in block.
