If you skip to 26:00 minute Jeff mentions there might be another Convention added to the season in April/May.

Time to start the random guesses on the con.

My first guess is PAX East just because there is already a tie to PAX. Though for 2019 its tentative dates are actually March 28-31, 2019 (this is listed as tentative in everything I could find).

There are lots of smaller cons throughout the midwest in the months of April and May. But I know nothing about them so cannot even begin to guess if they are big enough for TD.

My second second guess would be Atlanta and momo con. All I know about it is in a convention center and there are over 10k attendees. I don't know what that compares to Pax South but it is about 3 times the number of attendees of GHC and just over half Origins. Kirk is also in Atlanta so if he knows the con (I don't know if he does or does not) he might have plugged like Laz plugged GHC.

Probably will not be a PAX. The pax people made a comment that they wanted to keep true dungeon at San Antonio because they wanted it to have a unique and different feel than the other PAX's. But who knows.

Either coast, I hope!

If it's on the West, that means less travel time.

If it's on the East, that means TD is doing well enough to reach audiences farther away. That would give me hope that it'll make it back to California one day.

There are a few WC cons that I think would be big enough, I just think the travel (cost of 3-6 semis full of stuff) make it less likely than a something closer to Carbondale.

Personally I hope it’s not on one of the coast. Something more centrally located would be nice. I do love that they are adding cons, and even if it’s out of the way for me it should help the game grow.

That is interesting. I've never heard of that con. But, at the moot at Origins (I think it was there IIRC) it was said they could look into expanding into cons that are not strictly gaming cons. So it is possible.
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

Non gaming cons could make a lot of sense, I could see that having a game like TD at a con that is mostly panels could be a big hit.

I'd say Indianapolis, Madison, San Antonio, and Columbus are all fairly central. I think it's reasonable to have one con that's coastal for folks on that edge of the country.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .

Living in Wisconsin, its easy to think of Indy, Madison and Columbus as Central. San Antonio, not so much.

Having said that I'd love to see Anaheim and Orlando. Easiest way to persuade my Disney fanatic wife (25+ trips to WDW) to add to my convention schedule. ;)
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

Living in Dallas I think of San Antonio as smack dab in the middle of the country, certainly in the Deep South. That said the other cons are as far north and somewhat east as San Antonio is south.

Memphis seems central to me but no matter where you pick it’s far to someone.

I would likely go to a con in Orlando given how many other yetis are in the area.

you always have to remember that the limiting factor is going to be volunteers. So it’s going to have to be someplace it’s convenient for the bulk of the volunteers to get to. I think placing it out of coast would make it a little more difficult to get volunteers to that area. I am in southern Arizona so I would love to see it on the West Coast but you have to consider how many people are going to be able to take vacation and get transportation out to the West Coast at this point
