TOPIC: Adventure's Guild changes?

Adventure's Guild changes? 5 years 6 months ago #1

So in the 2019 orders it has the adventure's guild button listed like this...

"One (1) limited-edition Adventurers' Guild membership button. Each person wearing an AG button receives access to the exclusive “Adventurers’ Guild” bag check service at Gen Con and Gamehole Con. You can leave one item at the Bag Check for free with each AG button. Only Adventurers' Guild members will have access to this service."

So the question to the powers that be is, does this mean no bag check or special access at Origins this year? Or was this an oversight? Just looking for clarification.

Thanks

Mike

BoN grants AG membership. There is no change as far as I can see

Good question. This year there was no lack of space at Origins, but they simply placed the bags behind the check-in tables and there was often nobody committed to just that area -- so you sometimes had to wait in line to check or get your bag. It might be a volunteer # issue?

I would not worry about it. The 2018 collection page never listed Origins either and it did have bag service this year.

Bag check at Origins is only part of it.

The AG button no longers comes with an early registration code for Origins TD signup. For 2018 it did which allowed for some AG holders to get into an event that that had limited availability. This benefit does not apply for 2019.

I don't know that that will be the case. In as much as TD runs their own ticket sales for Origins they can easily do it. And the event description for Origins 2018 made no mention of either AG bag check or AG early ticket sales.

2018 Token spelled it out about early Origins ticket access.

The QTR? Or TokenDB? Or something else?

If you go to https://web.archive.org/web/20180307002417/http://truedungeon.com:80/ you can see the website as it appeared on March 7th 2018.

I already checked the 2018 token collection page, it only lists the ticket benefit for Patrons at the 8k level. The only place I can find a reference to early access for adventurers guild members is in the store which has not been updated for 2019 yet.

The website is just a copy and paste job. Frequently items get missed or overlooked. The 2018 token page still listed True Dungeon Celebration even though it was only in 2017. I would wait and see what the store says before you assume the benefit is gone.
