But to steer us back on topic, I will stick with my YES ghost should be allowed at Origins. Now whether they should get full, partial, or no treasure I will again leave up to debate.

If the past two newest cons (WYC and GHC) have taught us anything it is that it may take a year for TD to get a following.

Let's take TDC as an interesting example. Limits were put on ghosting. The price was so low that there was significant concern expressed about farming. There were only 58 runs. The place was crawling with serious players and collectors

If the Tabletop site numbers are reliable there were 15 runs with unsold slots. 6 of which had 5 or more spots open. 2 had all 10 spots unsold.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

The great majority of these conflict with other events (like patron or trivia) meaning they were starting too early or ending too late to allow participants in this to also participate in the Patron events, true horde events, or trivia.

I did not count specifically, but there are very few spots that were open and did not meet these criteria.

Good point. It should also be noted that TDC is not like other cons though because attendees (~95%) all going with the propose of playing TD. Other including Gen Con I would be surprised if it is ~10%.

I don't think you can blame Patron runs. The Patron run ended at 5. 9 of the open spot runs began at 5 or later. 28 tickets were open during Patron runs with 10 of those from one slot. 31 were from runs starting at 5 or later with 10 from one slot. And the Patron runs only took 38 people out of the mix.

The Trivia effect is mixed. Only one run conflicted with the Trivia time. Bit it did represent 10 of the 14 available Saturday tickets.

On the other hand Trivia only took 60 people out of the mix

60 is a really large amount of people given the small number of attendees. Do we know how many came?

That information is no longer accessible. IIRC it was well over 200, maybe closer to 250.

Yes 60 is a large precentage of 200 or even 250. That percentage is nothing though when compared the percentage of those not playing something besides TD at any of the gaming cons. Just saying TDC is NOT a good comparison vs WYC or GHC or GC.
