Also what are the event ticket costs for Origins?

We are going to try out Origins for a year and see how it goes. It may very well become an annual thing -- and a leg in the TD yearly tour schedule.

Jeff Martin wrote: These are correct. If it works out the way we have it planned, from here on out there will be a "season of shows" that premieres at Gen Con and then goes to Gamehole Con and then to Origins. You can go to any of these shows and play the same two adventures.

This is awesome news! I am very glad to hear this!

I hope TDC is able to happen every 1/2/3 years, it is looking like a great experience. Can't wait for next weekend ^_^

Will we be expecting to see the non-GenCon ticket costs lower than GenCon until the interest reaches levels like GenCon and the cost hike is warranted?

Is it possible having 3+ conventions to spread production costs across could potentially lower the cost at GenCon and balance between all shows?

*Just a personal curiosity*

Not sure if this was said yet - will Origins have combat and puzzle versions of both adventures?

Origins will be like this:

We will take the best rooms from both the puzzle and combat versions and edited them together into one dungeon. Most likely it will be a 4 puzzle and 3 combat room configuration since there will be lots of newbies at Origins.

Maybe make one 4/3 and the other 3/4?

Was wondering whether:

1) since the treasure is 2016, the chips be '16 or '17.
2) the new convention schedule will affect the release dates for modules and YouTube riddle reveals.
3) you'd rather be attacked by a horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses

Woudl that mean we can use our 2016 treasure tokens there? I have seven I never got turned in.

In the past we have been able to save up chips from WYC to use at GC. I'd be sad if we couldn't do the same at TDC and Origins.

Yeah, after I wrote the piece below it seemed logical that I could use the 2016 Treasure Chips at TDC too.

My thought would be that treasure chips would be good till the next Gen Con. So any 2016 chips could be used till GC 2017. 2017 chips will be valid at any convention until Gen Con 2018. Figure that would be easiest. Someone (maybe Jeff) mentioned True Dungeon Seasons starting with Gen Con. So it would make sense for the chips to be good for that season.

Not that it means much, but when I emailed Jeff about using treasure chips from GHC next year, he told me that I would not be able to.

This was before TDC and Origins were announced though.
