TOPIC: Registration Questions/Issues

I have a Patron badge/ticket to True Horde and I would not have any problem with Jeff running it at GC. If it proves to be that popular and fun I hope everyone would have a chance to experience it.

Jeff, if there's any way to do a True Horde run (or two) on Sunday morning, we'd be up for that, and I'd bet a ton of other people would be also.

I hope that this is the beginning of opening things up.

I would like to see the extra room that is offered during Golden Ticket runs at GenCon be offered up at both GHC and TDC in the future.

Will True Horde be or not be an exclusive at TDC?

I bet those individuals who purchased patron badges are not going to be happy with the answer.

To my mind its the Friday all day Patron event that is the big deal.

but I would prefer to see it at GHC. Keep True Horde a non-GC thing to encourage people attend non GC events.

Plus there's a lot easier time doing something like that at a non-GC event.

Understandable, however i think for a fair few of us (myself included) True Horde was the special event for those of us non patrons attending were looking forward to. To functionally not even have a real chance at it is dissapointing.

Agree.

The sign ups indicated 43 patron badges. 43 patrons signed up for True Horde. 39 of the 43 have signed up for the all day Patron event.

I believe Horde was advertised as "new," not "unique."

While there is usually something special in the GT run, it's not adequately described as an "extra room".

For example, last year, the something special was an announcement by Jeff that we had all acquired a baby Beholder as a follower, it would grant +3 damage to our attacks for the rest of the con, but we had to be able to produce it on demand within 30 seconds to any coach or TD personnel on request at any time and place during the con, on peril of losing it. We got a small tennis ball sized Beholder model.

Two years ago the something special was a boffer archery course where targets were dinner plate size 2016 tokens, if you hit one with an arrow you won the token.


These things could certainly be presented in some other event, but it's not just a "room" that can be included in a dungeon.

I don't understand this sentiment.

I think most TD players are at least somewhat community oriented. Why would they resist letting more people play TD? Lots of them spend considerable time making it possible for more people to play TD by volunteering.

Maybe there would be 1 or 2 people who would be upset - but I would except that to be the exception, rather than the rule.
