We are still working to finalize our new event called True Dungeon Celebration , but I thought I would add some comments here since tokens will be on pre-order very soon.

Due to the growth of the token sales and the increasing chance that an $8K buyer may not draw a Golden Ticket, we wanted to reward these huge supporters of True Dungeon with some cool fun at TDC. For every $8K in orders you placed by April 2nd, 2017 you will receive a Patron Lapel Pin and a secret code that will allow you to register into the Patron Event Program at TDC.

The idea is to have 2-3 hour fun and unique events for Patrons to enjoy on Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm. They will have their nights free to play in the adventure and enjoy other fun at TDC. We will also host a lunch on Friday on the property.

If you have some ideas for events at TDC, please post them below. So far we are working to finalize these event ideas. Not all will come to fruition.
  • A tour of the TD Workshop (where you'll brainstorm and create an actual puzzle for a future TD adventure). It should be a blast to work with y'all at the TD Workshop to brainstorm ideas and pick through our library of items, props and sets to craft a future puzzle for TD.
  • An outdoor TD-lite adventure (weather permitting)
  • Token creation event where we will brainstorm a handful of tokens for the 2018 collection and then create them in Photoshop
  • Regent: We'll play my homebrew dice sliding game I created 20 years ago which inspired TD's combat system five years later. My friends who play it at JefCON rate it higher than True Dungeon.

More details will be posted in about a week. Stay tuned. This should be a lot of fun, and a great way to thank those who generously support our event.

All these things sound great!

I'll be placing my first 8K order this year, and I am sure one of my friends will really enjoy this.

I won't be able to make it to the event, despite how much fun it sounds.

I wasn't sure about placing another $8K order this year. I think you just changed my mind.

Jeff

Will there be things to do besides an adventure for the many more of us that don't spend 8k a year? I know the big buyers are the token revenue for TD just checking to see what there also might be for those that might be the ticket revenue for TD.
You either discover a star or you don't. You arrogant punk.

Well we can make our own fun if there is an open gaming area.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

+1, was afraid of this being tied to purchases. Was kinda hoping that there would be a option for players who've played x years having access or at least some tickets released to general public. I understand it it's early and you're still working things out.

Always appreciate the effort Jeff even if i miss out on what sounds what looks to be an amazing/unique event.
We're all the kind of people who enjoy the game on a "meta" level. We like talking about the game year-round. We buy tokens. We enjoy crafting. We get together during the off-season if we can. We are a very skewed demographic that way. -Raven

There may be other cool stuff beyond the patron event. I'm hoping the TD staff do a panel event as they have done at WYC the past few years. Maybe some mini games or true craft could make a return.

Or perhaps the return of...

Yes. There will be a few other smaller events -- as well as a great opening gaming area. More info to come. Thanks for your patience.
