TOPIC: Polymorph bonus

Polymorph bonus 5 years 6 months ago #1

I have asked coaches in the past to add my polymorph damage bonus to the party card (in the small 'other' area on the far right) through the season. Everybody was ok with this, except one coach explicitly said that no coaches were every allowed to write that down. I know that every DM has their own way of doing things and that is 100% cool. I let it slide as he was writing down everybody's attributes, then when we went to the practice room, I showed the practice room DM my character sheet on the app and asked if it would be easier to write down the polymorph bonus or to just tell the DM each round. They indicated that it would be easier to write it down now, so that they could see it clearly. So the room coach and I did that. Combat DMs seemed fine with that throughout the day.

Suggestion:
For druids and wizards, in the melee section would it be possible to add a line in the box to show normal / polymorph bonus? I know the party card is already very full of information, but I assure you, my damage is OFTEN added wrong, then the DM realizes I'm polymorphed, then fixes it, etc, because they are using the party card to check bonuses (or it just stays wrong, or I take time and ask; I totally understand that nobody is trying to make a mistake and the real opponent is time, etc). If the card had that bonus ready, it might make life easier for the DM when the new fire elementals roll into the swamp. This may be PARTICULARLY complicated given that is it not JUST polymorph damage, but it is also a potential bonus to elemental damage if the creature is susceptible or resistant to fire/ice etc.

This may be more important if we are expecting an increased number of people trying to polymorph. If there is frustration with the playstyle, even if the design is very cool, then folks will stop doing it.

I'd really like this also.

Seems reasonable to me. Can we remove % spell res now also and put it there?
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

When my wife plays (or i play her polymorph build), i ask the coach to write down the polymorph stat with a tiny note 'poly', while assuring them that she/i will never attack except in polymorph form. If polymorph isnt an option, we cast spells.
this is not a signature.
