TOPIC: 2022 “Good Ol’ Fashion” Auction with random URs - ORDERED

UPDATE 11/10 @ 9 AM EST: Well my friends, this auction is as good as funded at this point. Since I didn't expect it to go so fast, and we had a flurry of auctions launch at the very same time, I said I'd keep it open till November 22. Well... let's get out of the way of the other concurrent auctions at this point and call this funded, BUT not officially closed until this Friday, 11/12 at 9 AM EST. That's 48 hours from now. This will give anyone who really wants a chance to solidify their bids or jump in the opportunity to do so. Especially anyone who was watching this auction and thinking they had till November 22nd to bid. I believe it's the best thing to do for the community at this point and is still in the spirit and precedent of the TD auctions.

If there is any concern about this change please let me know asap. Congratulations for seeing this auction funded and getting some GREAT deals! Can't wait to send them to you all.

So now that 2022 pre-orders are underway and some folks are looking for just a good old fashioned 8K auction format...yeah you know, like the one I ran...um...last week. I’m going to start one.

In my own typical model I’m auctioning off almost everything found in a super condensed order Including the random URs and the treasure tokens. I’m not going to rush this one but will need it to end in time to get the November goodies so let’s end the auction on Monday, November 22nd at 2:00pm EST.

Auction Rules

In order for the auction to be successful, the grand total of all bids must meet or exceed $8,000. If the auction fails to meet the minimum, I may choose to go forward and fund the remaining balance or call the whole thing off depending on how close it is. If the auction hits $8250 or more by the end time all shipping within the US will be free.

How bidding works:

◦ Bids should be sent to me via PM
◦ The winning bid is the lesser of the 2nd highest bid + the bid increment and the highest bid.
◦ You must bid at least the current bid + the bid increment.
◦ Bid increment on items less than $25: $0.25
◦ Bid increment on items greater than or equal to $25: $1
NOTE: All bids must be divisible by the increment in place for their bid tier.

Once your bid is received I will send you a PM confirming it with your Gooey Cube NPC themed moniker. I will regularly update the auction with currently winning bids, as work and life allows. But at minimum, daily, unless extenuating circumstances prevent it.

If multiple bidders bid the same amount, the earliest bids win..

This auction will end at the specified date and time listed below.

Any ties will be resolved by whichever tying bidder submitted their very first bid as the winner.

Bidding ends on Fridayy, November 12th at 9 AM EST. , however:

◦ If there are technical difficulties with TD forums (or elsewhere) within 1 hour of the end auction time all open items will be extended 24 hours, open to all bidders.
◦ If a new highest bid is placed on an item within 1 hour of the auction close, the bidding on those item(s) will be extended 24 hours, open to all bidders.

Payment is required through PayPal via friends and family. All winning bids will have 48 hours after the close of auction to provide payment. If there are any unpaid item(s), after the allowed time, the bidder will forfeit their items and I will pay the residual and keep the items myself.

In full disclosure, one Turkey Leg of Smiting, one Ring of the 5th Circle, one Lenses of Hunting, one Adventurer's Guild Badge, one random UR (and the possible 10th), a possible Golden Ticket, and 8 of the Treasure chips will not be included. The rest will be auctioned off.

Shipping (domestic):

◦ $6 for 10 or fewer tokens
◦ $10 for 11 to 150 tokens
◦ $18 for over 150 tokens

International shipping will be the actual cost.

Good idea on the spreadsheet - I like that idea. It makes me wonder if there is open source auction software that could run pretty much all of this

I know there are a few simultaneous going on at this time but each have their own special feel and function with some uniqueness about each. So it's a good time to enjoy the madness, find your groove, and seek a deal.

There are quite a few items with bids WAY under current going rate here. Also, remember there are random URs that seem to be quite popular.

It updates as I enter the data so it's more expeditious. If three is something you think would be helpful to see on this form please let me know and I'll look into adding it. Know that I need to be careful maintaining bid anonymity so understand some requests may not be possible.

I've actually been toying with the idea of creating a TD Auction site. It would allow owners to enter bids and it would calculate the winning bid, it would allow searching of active and past auctions, maybe a few other things. Not sure I have the time to actually make it happen, but I've been sketching out some thoughts on it.

That could very well come in handy for many! But getting a standard system that everyone agrees on would be difficult. Thank you for thinking of this for sure.

My UR turkey legs went for $30. Pretty significant variation!

It's more than fair to end it earlier once you've funded. I don't object and I suspect most other people won't either.

I appreciate that you run these with most everything going back into the community and you do a good job keeping it organized.
