Folks, none of the packages I shipped yesterday morning are showing as picked up by USPS, despite me seeing the mailman empty the outgoing mailbox. Whatever the problem is with these packages, I’ll fix it.

From time to time, USPS tells me it hasn’t received a package yet—even after said package was delivered to my mailbox. Sometimes, it’s “never heard of it, never heard of it, DELIVERED!” Fingers crossed this is one of those situations. Please keep us posted.

There is typically a delay of a day, one day after they are scanned and at the end of the day.

I hope you guys are right. In any case, the main package is supposed to arrive today. If none of the 4 I mailed out on Wednesday show up by next Tuesday, I'll start sending out replacements.

Will try to get a few out tomorrow also.

Give it time. The post office does have delays ~1% of the time. I wouldnt send out replacements for at least 2 weeks.

If it was just one package, then, yes my attitude would be "The post office did something wrong", but with 4 packages (really, bubble mailers), then I'm assuming I did something wrong. I don't know what, because I've mailed tokens like this before, but...

I'll be dropping all other packages off at the post office instead of relying on the mail drop at my office.

Sorry for all the chatter! Packages seem to be in USPS system now, maybe they got left in the back of the mail truck yesterday. Meanwhile, the order from TD is "Out for delivery"....

Maybe this will help: USPS tracking just told me that my package was picked up today, AND that it is expected to be delivered today (halfway across the country). My guess is it gets delivered sometime between now and Saturday. I’ll post when it does.

ETA: USPS just changed the estimated delivery date to Tuesday, May 28. We’ll see. The package appears to be in the system, so I’m not too worried about it. It will get here eventually.

I'll give the USPS credit, they are really pretty good 99.x% of the time, but sometimes things take strange twists and turns.

Last year I sold a token on eBay mailed it and it was scanned in Cincinnati, then nothing, 3 weeks later without further update it appeared in Texas delivered.
And one time I sent my son a package at college, it was scanned at 6 different locations in the Chicago area over the course of a week, and then finally was delivered.

So don't give up on them, they eventually get it delivered.
