They are, I have more bids to add when I get home tonight. It’s a very interesting process from the other side of the auction. If I didn’t have a spreadsheet this would be a giant mess. I even made a list of pseudonyms on a separate tab before the auction so I would not need to make up stuff on the fly. I only made that list 15 deep.

I suspect that you will need it to be at least double that.

I will be starting this forum auction after the current one ends.

Look for my post on 8/27.

I will read through older auctions to get a good sense of what has and hasn't worked in the past.

I will update daily until the end day, and determine what, if anything, I want to keep for myself and the subsequent amount I need to fund it.

Until then, there is another great auction going on right now!

Looking for suggestions/guidance as to how best to set this up.

Definitely planning on running ebay style, where you set your max, but pay the min difference above 2nd place.

Wondering if people feel it is truly important for me to use pseudonyms, or if using forum names would be ok? I think less room for error is better, but I can understand the other side of that plan.

Probably going to open on Sunday, August 27th, end on Monday, September 3rd (Labor Day) or Tuesday, September 4th.

Thoughts on an end date? Holiday good or bad?

Also, if this one goes well, I may start another.

I believe the pseudonyms are mostly so someone doesn’t look and go hay Wayne for example is bidding on that lot, he’s my friend do I won’t bid against him.
Maybe it’s got some privacy reasons as well.

For what it's worth, I'm a fan of the idea of auctioning off bundles of rares rather than just as crafting materials- seems like a swell way to get people fairly new-ish to TD involved in the trade side of TD without having to take the plunge directly into buying bigger ticket items.
