TOPIC: The Arcanist's Auction - Ends Midnight MST 11/15

So I have a small set of auctions for now. I want to test the waters for my new auction format and see how things go.

The auction will run with bids via PM for privacy. All bids will be updated daily at a minimum but more often than that when possible.

All auctions will be held in Arizona Standard Time. This is a non-daylight saving state. Arizona is currently on MST. MST is GMT -7. All times in this post will be referencing this time zone.

Auction Format: Bids will be accepted from today until Saturday November 15th at Midnight MST (GMT -7). Bids will be PM only but I will always update the auction with the current bid. Auction winners will be expected to pay via paypal, either as a gift or calculating in the non-gift paypal feels. Payment is expected within 7 days. If the winning bid includes tokens they must be shipped with tracking and must be shipped within 7 days. Once payment has been received the tokens will ship. Due to my job taking me out of state I normally only ship on Saturdays but this may vary to include some week days.

Any bid submitted before the auction deadline will be posted to the thread and the end time of the auction will be modified to be two hours from the time the new bid is posted. If another bid is received is this time frame the new bid will be posted and the end time extended an additional two hours. The auction will end once a two hour window closes without any additional bids. If you wish to publicly post your bids during this final hours window that is also acceptable however the auction is not considered closed and won until I announce it closed and determine the winner.

Current Bid - $110 (Bidder O )

Item 2 - Charm of Synergy
Current Bid - $80 (Bidder K )

Item 3 - Horn of Plenty
Current Bid - $550 (Bidder H )

Item 4 - Golden Fleece
Current Bid - $60 (Bidder G )


Ok, let's see how this goes!

The only downside to these silent auctions is the names of the highest bidders are not listed. Therefore if the auctioneers do not like how the bids are being placed they can always 'silent' bid on the item themselves, thereby pulling the item off the auction block

That is admittedly a possibility as there is no way to verify otherwise outside of the winners posting what item they won on the thread, or telling me they are OK with it being posted. I don't really have an answer to that one...

At the suggestion of the bidder I have added a designator that helps identify if the same bidder is holding multiple items, for the bidder's knowledge.

if i bid on something, i dont want it publicly known
even with eBay, it isnt publicly known
there you can pull it off if you dont like how it is selling. so I see nothing wrong with that

Nothing would stop a seller from creating a second fake account and listing the bogus bids under that.

Either you trust the seller or you don't.
