That's clear to me re: not negating damage but negating drop.

Maybe:

Immune to

effect that causes
you to drop
weapon

?

The 'might' is a bit of a hangup for me as well.

It's a big departure, and in some scenario's has a slightly different meaning but what about:

"Cannot be forced to drop your weapon"

Or to preserve more of the meaning:

"An attack cannot force you to drop your weapon"

What about

"Immune to combat effects that cause you to drop weapon"

I note that the Nether Short Spear is still lacking a blade. Might make it a bit hard to stab things.
