TOPIC: Percentage of Forumites Owned Tickets?

I mistakenly started this in the Lords and Ladies section. So now it is here for all to see (and mock...lol).

We talk every year about how those on the forum make up a small percentage of the TD players, but I don't think we have ever tried to figure out how small of a percentage we are.

So if anyone wants to add some data and crunch some numbers I figured I would start.

To make things simple and not double count I think we should only include the tickets you purchased through Gen Con. So out of 8130 tickets (this does not cut GT or lottery).

I bought 40 run tickets and 3 Grind tickets.
I, a forum user (obviously), will be using 5 of the tickets and the other 38 will be non forumites.
11.63% of my tickets are being used by foumites.
I purchased .53% of the total tickets.
So thus far I know .06% of the tickets or in use by formites.

If you want to contribute (and haven't already) include the number of tickets you purchased through the Gen Con site (not that you got from someone else). Include the number tickets in use by ACTIVE forum members. This is the number of TICKETS not the number of people though both numbers maybe the same of course.


Between the following users we have bought 444 tickets through Gen Con site (unless I made an error) that is 5.34% percent of the total tickets.

I cannot do any further calculations because I am not certain how many tickets are being used by forum users from Ro-gan, Picc, valetutto, cdsmith, cas_christopher (I know how many forum users they have but not how many tickets they are using unless I misread).

Not counting them we have bought 307 tickets or 3.77% of the total tickets. Forum users are using 40.07% of those tickets (the 307). That is 1.51% of the total tickets.

As of right now I have 8 tickets, (6 runs, 2 grinds). Possibly 1 more run, I'm waiting to hear back from someone.

Okay, add in 9 forum-adjacent tickets.

I'm using 5 of my tickets, rest are for non forumites.

I think there needs to be 3 categories, if we can get the information.

Tickets used by Forum users
Tickets used by people adjacent to Forum users (Friends/Family/etc that tend to have better gear because of being adjacent to a Forum user)
"General Population" (who likely just use their 10-pack of tokens)

To add to the information: Dergidan bought our two runs, for 20 tickets. 11 are being used by Forum users (to the best of my knowledge), 8 are being used by Forum adjacent people, 1 is unclaimed.

I'd tend to agree.
I bought four tickets for my group, and my friend bought four for the other run (mostly because we were scrambling to try and get both runs). So two of the tickets count for me, but the other six will be as you say, forum-adjacent people. I'll be acting as the liaison between the forum and my group.

16 tickets to 2 different story runs (i got 7/10 and 9/10 in my slots)
6 grind tickets total (2 tickets each in 3 grinds)

Total is 22 direct bought tickets of which i will use 5.

I'm the only forumite in my group i normally run with (rotating group of casuals).

I would think 90 to 99 percent of tickets bought by forum users will either be used by forum users or forum adjacent. I am thinking not many will not be forum adjacent one way or another.

All the tickets I've ever bought have gone to Forum Users, Forum Adjacent (friends and family), or Forum Adjacent-Adjacent (friends or relatives of friends).

I've got a 7, 7, 5, 4, of which I personally am using 3, the rest are friends.

So 23 tix for my group, but I'm the only forum user.

16 Total tickets for our group, 9 by forumite and 7 by forum adjacent.

Mine will all be Forum or forum adjacent. Currently I don't know the exact split and if someone has an account here but never post and rarely read, would you call them a forum user who stalks? or just adjacent? what if they have an account but don't even read...

I have 8 normal tickets and 2 True Grind Tickets.
