TOPIC: Room Reservations

I'm surprised nobody started a thread on this yet. Is anyone having any luck with room reservations? I'm having to wait over 18 minutes to try, I figure most good hotels will be gone by then. What are everyone else's room reservation experiences?

You're lucky. Mine was 1 hour, 9 minutes.

18 minutes!? That's lucky! I have to wait over an hour/ If you can get an extra room, please help!

I do feel better, I'll let you know the status of the rooms when I'm on. Sadly I'm limited to one room reservation. I'm supposed to have a couple of roommates helping get reservations, but no sign of them so far.

I'm really disappointed they got rid of the wait list, that is how I got a room reservation at Embassy the last three years...

I and many of my friends were online at noon or before when ranged from 1:10 (me) to 3:30.

Well, as of right now plenty of rooms available, so hopefully they will still be there when you need to make a reservation. Good Luck!

Thanks Mike sounds like some of us are going to need it.

wow! same horrible ordeal with housing... new system just as bad as before...

new company is now dealing with same old issues..

perhaps an application system with identified priorities.. length of stay, length of badge acquired, length of continuous years attending GenCon (ie badge/account number), ADA, etc...

perhaps we need to start making our reservations out of the block.. and paying for the difference to be outside of the black...

If anyone has an extra room.. we may be needing one in the JW, the Marriott or the Westin party of 3 adults Tuesday 728 through Monday 8/3

Okay it's worse than ever! So I am stuck at the Airport, they REALLY need to leave this town. It has a Pathetic excuse for a mass transit system!

First time staying anywhere but downtown. Any tips/pitfalls to avoid for those of us staying out at airport for the first time? Need to seriously do the math and decide if its better to skip what i was going to spend on gencon and go for the adventurers guild and do whosyercon instead.
