It's not like it's going to really encourage all sorts of people to run both who weren't doing it already. It just makes it so those of us who already are, aren't forced to go through rooms we've already seen/played each darn time.

Or preferably make Puzzle side run
Puzzle
Combat

and Combat run
Combat

Giving 2 completely different runs without completely screwing over combat or puzzle players getting into the wrong run type.

I would rather it not be that predictable. Maybe make them 5/2 so they would end up being combat or puzzle, without complete dedication. It would mean 3 'unique' rooms per side and you could easily make the stamps all combat or puzzle.... maybe even change them up throughout the week :)

5/2 sound appealing to me, but I have enjoyed some rooms in the past that have been puzzle/combat hybrids. Where would this fit in?
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I know that I and both of my regular groups strongly prefer the combat runs over puzzle. That said, I think it's important to have 2-3 puzzle rooms in the combat dungeon.

However, I would add that while I loved the Viper's Pit run this year, the fact that two of the Combat-side treasure stamps were for puzzles felt like a big letdown, particularly because our group failed to solve both of them. If it hadn't been for the random co-player who provided CoGF to my less-geared comrades, I think they would have been pretty disappointed with their sad, solitary treasure draw at the end, particularly as we stomped all over the combat encounters.

Yeah. I think EVERYONE was upset at the placement of treasure this year.

If it's a puzzle run 2 stamps in puzzles is acceptable, if it's combat it should be 2 stamps in battles

Honest I didn't notice. But that might have been because I once again did too many runs and they all run together. I was aware of which room number the treasure were but not what type of room it was
