TOPIC: A plea to all Rod of Seven Parts holders

On behalf of the entire coaching staff, please, Please, PLEASE budget yourself enough time to get your sub-class voucher before the official start of your run. If your run starts at 10:03, don't walk over to voucher distribution at 10:02. (If you even think about getting your voucher after your start time I'll sick my elephant on you !) It's a challenge to record stats for 10 people in less than 24 minutes, if we have to wait for people to go get their vouchers in that time it will cause severe problems. It's not fair to the coach and it's not fair to your party. To paraphrase Wil Wheaton, "Don't be a phallus."

You do not need to claim your voucher at the time of your run. You can do it earlier. If you're going on back-to-back runs and want to use your voucher for the second run, get it before your first run.

Should you be tempted to fire back with something like, "But it's okay if I'm late because I have my printout from the character generator..." let me stop you right there. Sure, coaches love it when you have your stats completed, but you still need to get your voucher before you come into the room.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Please help spread the word.

Will coaches have access to the Prestige Class Character Cards? That way the voucher can be exchanged for the character card in the coaching room in case there is a conflict with class choice.

That would seem wise.

Is there any chance of seeing the prestige classes online once the convention has started?

Is correct about this and since the Rod is number always that will make it easier to keep track of as oppose is not by your of trying, so please do so.

The current plan is that the vouchers will be distributed outside of the coaching areas but the sub-class character cards, much like the 5th-level cards, will be kept in the coaching areas.

TPTB are still deciding whether to keep the sub-classes a surprise or to make them available before Gen Con.

In the spirit of keeping things moving during Gencon and getting runs together in speedy fashion, might it not be a good idea to post them maybe a week or so early? That way most players who will be using them don't have to spend the whole time figuring the card out? I speak as an outsider who does not have a rod lol.

Revealing them is the better option. I don't like surprises.

It would be great to have the list before con for those with the rod.

It'd also be great to see the cards for those others considering buying one

Druegar, it may have been mentioned before, but where is the Voucher Distribution located? It would be great to list that pretty prominently on a sticky thread, as well as the location and times for transmuting.

I have mixed feelings about doing the reveal ahead of time or having it be a surprise. On the one hand the surprise would be nice. And on the other hand, if the reveal was done ahead of time, I'd like the opportunity to see which prestige classes seem better to so I'd know which party members to have use the rod & voucher.
