TOPIC: Any news on "special" or "Eldritch Runestones" ?

Has any information been given about the effects this year?

I'm hoping to avoid the big mess up of last year in deciding what I use.

it was not told early last year( except for True Grind)

Traditionally the effect of the "Special ?" is not announced - you need to use one (or ask someone who used one) to find out what happens.

The Eldritch Runestone has less history. The first year it was announced at the Con. I believe the next year it was announced just before the Con (or was it posted to the forum by a helpful soul?)

It would definitely be nice to know the Eldritch effect beforehand, to make gearing up the characters easier. Would makes things easier on the Coaches, too, if players could come with pre-generated character sheets and party card, instead of changing up their build when they realize what the Eldritch Runestone does.

Agreed on pre-announcing making coach life easier. In addition, a posted card or something to remind coaches might be nice too.

Variable tokens effects are being discussed by TPTB. There should be news on their effects Soon^TM .

I wish I was a TPTB. Or at least fly on the wall.
