TOPIC: Showing up with your own Character Sheet

Re: Showing up with your own Character Sheet 9 years 10 months ago #13

Short answer: Don't bring old player character cards into any run, even if you just used it for your previous run.

Toss it in your bag, leave it in your room, or throw it away but don't bring it into a new run.

We'll provide a character card. Its how we keep count.
Sweet a combat room, we won't take damage!

Mike Steele wrote: Dante, when you log into True Dungeon and are on the forums, look at the top of the screen. At the left of the True Dungeon Logo it should say what level Player you are. That is separate from what level your character is, which will be Level 4 unless you have the proper tokens to raise the character to Level 5. Also, if you go into "My Account", it will show what player level you are at, and how close you are to the next level.

I get that and that's what I was answering previously when asked what my card said and what my character level was. I currently have 8100 points, which according to the link Cormroc provided below, I'm at 4th level.

That's what I'll do then. No worries.

So for clarification from one of the DMs here, does this also apply to a 4th level player? If I have 8100 XPs, which is higher than 3rd level, would I get first choice over a 3rd level player..?

Nope, anyone 3rd or higher chooses before anyone lower than 3rd level. Hopefully you won't have any trouble picking classes. I've never had a problem in True Dungeon, although we did have a problem once in True Heroes :)

Thanks for the clarification, Mike.

I played in '05, '07, '08, and 10 without paying too much attention to the little details. I'd just show up and play. Only use the tokens I got on site that run.

It wasn't until I took my son last year for his first time that I started delving deeper into the game here on the forums.
