Really hoping we can get level rewards at GenCon. I will hit level 5 after my first run
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

I believe AG just gives you bag check at GenCon like last year. There was special stuff at Who's Yer Con; but nothing extra at GenCon this year.

Also, if a Monk is wielding a +2 and a +3 Viper Strike Dagger, along with the shirt, does this meet the 3 piece reqs?

Yes, they are three different items so they count as three pieces of the set. This was laid out earlier by Jeff but I did not go looking for the post.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

Thanks! I just hadn't seen that exact combo as allowed, but good to know. When I place my last PYP order, I I know what to get for sure :)

No. That does NOT work.

The Viper Strike Daggers would both need to be at least +3 to count as part of the set:

Set Bonuses & Duplicate Weapons
If both the weapons being wielded are part of the same set and are either Relics (five-point star) or Legendaries (orange title and backing), they count as two items toward fulfilling that set's quota. E.g., when trying to qualify for the Viper Strike set bonus, a monk could wield two +3 Viper Strike Fangs (Relics) and wear one other Viper Strike item to qualify for the Viper Strike set bonus. Similarly, a ranger could wield two Asher's +5 Viper Strike Fangs and they would count as two items toward the Viper Strike set. Wielding two +2 Viper Strike Fangs (Ultra Rares) would only count as a single item toward the set's quota because neither of those are Relics or Legendaries. A character capable of wielding two weapons may wield two weapons with the same name regardless of rarity, but they only count as two items toward fulfilling a set bonus if both are either Relics or Legendaries. Putting it another way, wielding two same-named Common, Uncommon, Rare, Ultra Rare, Enhanced, or Exalted weapons only count as a single item toward qualifying for a set bonus, but wielding two same-named Relic or Legendary weapons counts as two items toward the set.

Different-named set-piece weapons count as two items toward the set's quota, regardless of rarity.

So, using a +2 and +3 will not count as 2 of the three pieces, even though they are 'different named'?

Yes

The following tokens have different names:

Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously
