I wish I could go to WYC but wa state is a little far away.... maybe next year!

I and my son (Aenllan) are still in.

For the grind I am thinking fighter, dwarf fighter, paladin or barbarian.

+3 slayer sword
Dracolich claw charm
Girdle of Frost Giant Strength
Charm of Heroism

Aenllan will be using:

Ring of Heroism
Greater Cloak of Destiny
Dracolich Claw Charm

I have not asked him yet, but Monk, wizard, elf wizard and Druid would work with that configuration. EDIT: obviously the Dracolich claw charm is only relevant to monk. It could be loaned out if he does something other than Monk.

True Grind with just Relics? Sounds juicy

That's the format as I understand it. Since the Astral tokens were eliminated all we get is relics and legendaries.

If by juicy you mean bloody, I am thinking you are right. Not much in the way of AC enhancement available. And not much in the way of weaponry.

I hope that isn't true, I'm not seeing anything about that limitation in any of the emails I received. Originally it had been that way because you'd have the ability to complement some of your most valuable and powerful relic and legendary tokens with other commons uncommons and rares that were about as hard to find as plat backed tokens. I think it's asking a bit much to transmute a costly relic that I may never use again just for the purposes of having a relic weapon for the event.

Retro is no relics+( I believe). I am sure grind you need relics+.

At Who's Yer Con we will be offering some great FREE events for AG members:

True Grind ("The Holy Relic of Venadine"): Open exclusively to only 2014 Adventurers’ Guild members, this True Grind event tasks the group to charge into lair of an unknown dragon to recover a holy relic within the span of an hour. Your benefactor, the humble and beloved Lord Belamont, has been dealt a dark curse and only the power of the relic will save him.

Retro Mini-Event: Again, open only to 2014 Adventurers’ Guild members, this four room mini-event will feature puzzles from the 11 year old history of True Dungeon. It will be a throwback event run very much like the first True Dungeon event 2003 – complete with retro combat sliders, retro character cards, smaller rooms, 6-person teams and no tokens. A single DM will accompany you through the whole 4-room event – one of which will be True Dungeon creator Jeff Martin.

Retro event uses no tokens, and the true grind event says nothing about required rarities. If Jeff made some other more recent proclamation about the events, please link the source, because that would drastically change my plans about attending WYC...
