In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

Most NPCs were wonderful, interacting with the party even when we threw them curveballs, especially the training room NPCs were lots of fun. and DMs handled things very well; One DM had told a player he missed, the player pointed out they were using ranged, and the DM was very nice and even thanked him (he was fairly new to combat DMing), he didnt get frustrated at all about being corrected. We did have a few players complain about a different combat DM who didnt put a lot of flavor into the combat and also didnt write everything down. i didnt think much of it because i know him, and while he may tease you mercilessly, he isnt going to cheat you and is smart enough to keep track of things even if not writing them all down...but many people like transparency.

combat rules: do they allow you to slide an empty puck (or puck with token face down)? there was a DM that actually got mad at a couple of us for sliding without a weapon, i cant remember if he threatened damage if we did it again or just said "don't do it again" with an 'or else' tone. we were doing it because our slide was strictly to bump and not for damage.

overall the staff was great, keep doing a great job.

I didn't think you could bump with an empty sliders unless you have an item or ability that says you can (ex, Dagger of Arcane Luck), Monk with no tokens, spell with no token, etc.

Abosolutely you can. Remember the stirges from 2008? That was the safest way to deal with them. We did it again in our grind this year.

Dagger of Arcane Luck allows an additional slide.

i'm assuming that it would count as your action for the turn though correct?

Rules say

"In fact
some lower damage capable players (e.g.,
Wizard, generally 1-4 points of damage with a
weapon) may elect to sacrifice their attack
attempts in order to change the outcome of a
player with a higher damage potential"

So I guess it depends if that was their only action.
