In 2013 our plans call for us to add an additional adventure to the event. There will be two consecutive adventure modules, and each module will have two variations of either a combat or puzzle orientation. The first module called “Lycans Afoot” tasks the party to travel through a dark forest in search of a tower, while the second module called “Golembane” challenges the party to reach the top of tower.

You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

My son and I will come.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

huh, so i might have jury duty that week. so, i want friday off for WYC, but if i get called in for jury duty on friday, i dont want it taken as a vacation day (hell, i would park in my work parking lot and just walk the couple blocks to the city/county building). if i am lucky, i will just be called in for jury duty on thursday.
this is not a signature.

You lucky dog!

I've always been wanted to be called for jury duty but alas, no luck!

Of course, I'd almost certainly be dismissed from jury duty. Which is kinda ironic since most people don't like jury duty (and lots of people have a hard time getting out of it, when it should actually be pretty easy!).

That was 6 years ago. Did you ever get a chance to serve?

I figure that being overly enthusiastic about *wanting* to be on the jury will likely be a red flag for the judge and attorneys. If you want you can go overboard by how exciting it will be - just like on Law & Order and 12 Angry Men!

An additional strategy is to emphasize your deep knowledge base (if you have one), particularly where the law is concerned. They *don't* want legal experts on juries. So if you have some good legal or jurisprudence questions that you could haphazardly mention (if I was on the jury and situation X happened, what should I do given legal precedent Y) that will probably be a strike against you.

Nope. It's like God and fate read my LJ entry and have conspired to keep me out of the courtroom.

There's an option to avoid jury duty. Just blog about how much you wish you could do it. This only works if God has you on his rss feed.
