I thought I showed great restraint by only ordering 4 bagless bags this time. Lori was not sure if she could fill my order or not.

Not 100% certain but when I placed my order there were the 3 bagged and about 20 bagless left.

I pulled another 10 bagless so 12 packs are gone.

Guess I have some explaining to do at the weekly TA meeting.

Ten more! (well 12)... I've visions of Gary opening his own little corner "merchant" stall in the tavern...

Doug, does one player having a major percentage affect the overall "token economy" somehow? :P Gary could flood the market to drive prices down!... Or retain control of certain items to drive the prices up! Ha ha!

I ordered a total of 12 bags during this cycle of tokens. Plus what I had from SoCal last year... thats not bad. I'm not the big spender Gary is, but it gives me bargaining material.

Actually I think I have a few more tokens than Gary.

You can have the biggest gold hoard, I am trying to corner the market in weapons and armor.

George

PS. It is scary that I was tempted to order 10 more bags. It was a great effort of restraint to only order 4.

Coincidentally, I'd like to change my estimate of token sell-out to "in about 30 minutes, today", if I can. ;)

Hmm.

I think Gary got about 40 bags this go round(Is that right Gary?). That's nearly 10% of the entire token run. Cornering a market of commodities usually takes a lot more than 10%. 30% might do it, 50% definitely would.

Gary... George... Widseth... and a couple others... the cornerstones of the TD token economy.

You guys may have to do some PC trading in the tavern just to keep the the tokens in play!

I intend to do a ton of trading. I used to sell Magic: the Gathering cards on the internet. The tokens I am doing for fun. Kind of nostagia for a previous occupation.

Sadly, at 4:15 pm on Wednesday, April 27th, 2005, the Token Witch died. Her head exploded from all of the phone callers that were making their mad dash to snatch up the last of the precious.

Just kidding....I'm still alive, but the DOA time for the tokens is correct......who won?

FYI......George's order was the last order filled.

You token addicts are too funny.

:smt031 <- Token in the Box.

As for monopolization, the calculation has been done before on the number of actual rares of any one token that exists. Starting there, there were approximately 504 bags made for 2005 with 1 Very Rare each. There are 36 VRs so there are approximately (maybe exactly) 14 of each VR, 28 of each Rare, and 98 of each common. So yes, there are 98 Small Steel Mirrors from the 2005 batch floating around out there and it feels like I have 1/2 of them. :^/

So given the limited number of tokens, one person with a significant percentage could definitely affect the price of the VRs by taking those tokens out of circulation. But of course new token printings will dilute control over token prices.

No one do this please. It would be very hard to track it accurately in a PG. :P
