TOPIC: What good are the common weapon tokens?

I really hate asking stupid questions but the new token set contains a lot of common weapons, short bow, sling, dagger, etc. What use do these weapons have? Aren't the players going to be issued the correct weapon for each class?

Players will draw a random weapon and random armor from chests before they begin their adventure. There is the potential to draw something unusable by your class, which can be traded.

People might also have a fondness for certain weapon types. I've always prefered blunt over edged weapons but a lot of that has to do with the creatures my DM liked to throw at us.

You may want to hang on to one or two of those common weapons. you never know when the situation may destroy that favorite +1 Great Sword. You may want to use a sacrifice weapon instead, or may need a backup if your favorite dissolves in a puddle of molten slag.

Oh, so everyone will have a common weapon and a common armor. That makes much more sense. I assume the token FAQ will tell us which class can use which armor and weapon.

And of course the backup weapon is a good idea.

PS. I am also curious about what a "+1 Quarter Sraff" looks like.

Yes, the Token Guide will have descriptions and cross reference tables (thank Douglas for the suggestion) so it should be pretty clear.

As far as the "+1 Quartersraff", well... it must be pretty cool!
