AoW at True dungeon 14 years 9 months ago #1

Has Jeff said if the amulet was going to have the same effect that it did at TR? If so can someone direct me to the post not that I don't believe you (yea i don't) but I just want to see it for peace of mind.
I am trying to decide if my Rogue will be wearing AoW, Necklace of the oak, or MoG

Someone will probably have a link for you, but just to confirm what I have read twice now out there in the jumble of threads is:

Yes, it will have the same effect that it had at TR. If you wear it on the Retro run it will turn into the Necklace of the Oak and if you wear it on the Smoak run it will turn into the Harpy Necklace.

If someone heard different, I would like to know as well.

Thread where Jeff says it will be the same effect at True Realm and GenCon Indy:

truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=4789.0

Thread where Jeff did not refute that the retro run gave the Necklace of the Oak and that the main run gave the Harpy Claw Necklace:
truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=5997.0

He also made quite to the mooving comment as well.

I remember reading about the limited supply as well, but I can't find that one at the moment, I thought he said he would still think of something cool for people if they did run out.

Thanks for the update and links. I just have a feeling that the AoW will be different. The Jeff is full of surprises

I suspect AoW will be a cursed item in one room, and if you don't remove the curse before the token draw, then the DM gets to take three of your tokens at random!

Never listen to me!

The AoW will NOT have the same effect as it had at True Realm. When we sat down a few weeks ago and figured out how many tokens we would need to pull it off, we realized that we did not have enough tokens to do it. I did not want to run out and disappoint anyone, so all remaining special tokens have all been dumped into the Treasure Generator box.

What WILL be the effect of the AoW at Gen Con Indy 2009? I have a good idea, but I am not going to say. I will probably change my mind! :icon_rabbit:
