TOPIC: 2009 Common Tokens -- Feedback please!

With no damage wheel, they may be disappointed with their effectiveness.

I think it all looks fine although I still think the spyglass came through a time warp.
Of all the traits of humanity, there is only one we do not share with other species, which sets us apart and makes us unique
-- the ability to imagine.

The improvements look great, especially the new Goodberry. The wording on the spiked buckler is much clearer now and I think making it Ranger only was a good idea to avoid confusion.

Thanks for changing the Endure Elements scroll back to "All".

The vale of the Copper Torc seems high to me when compared with the value of those fancy gold rings and the value of 500 copper pieces. Even if it did take 500 pieces of copper to comprise the raw materials for the torc, I can't see the craftsmanship of it being worth 15GP. I would suggest making the Copper Torc worth 10GP, Ancient Gold Band worth 15GP, and Ancient Gold & Silver Ring worth 20GP.

Definitely like the new improvements.

Only problem I see right now is that the Darkwood Shillelagh is usable by all classes and requires only a single hand. That makes it clearly better than the Obsidian Dagger, even for the lowly Wizard (since the Shillelagh doesn't break). The Shillelagh is also clearly better than the Quarterstaff of past years, since it does the same amount of average damage, but only requires a single hand. Are you sure it shouldn't be a two-handed weapon?

Few points.. I love the Shuriken.. Looks like Knotwork, and Fits in well with the Druid theme.

I also thing the Shillelagh should have no thong, but should be a one handed item ( since they traditionaly are so used)

Looks Great Jeff!!

"5 ft. Iron Chain" should be changed to "5 Feet Iron Chain" to match the pole, or change the pole to read "10 ft. Long Pole." (Be consistent)

Text on Darkwood Shortbow should be "Can be used as club in melee, too," or "Can be used as melee weapon"

To all weapon and armor lists, bring back the Oxford comma!!!

Essence of Figwort - "Fort" is an abbreviation, needs a period

Essence of Mistletoe should say "+2 to Reflex saves for 1 room"

Fireseed is a ranged weapon, I assume?

Kewl scroll images!

I don't think the Spiked Buckler needs to say "Only Ranger"; saying "Ranger can use..." means the same with less text.

Man, they look great!
Shillelagh - yes thong, yes one handed...

Maybe we see a day where some monsters take less/more damage from blunt weapons or blade weapons...then we will see if a dagger is sup-par VS this item.

Goodberry...1 per room "PER PERSON"
So Darkwood Shortbow will no longer be able to be used as a melee weapon?

Like the new Pugio! But the new Goodberry looks kind of like a cluster of fish eggs, although a close inspection shows it's an odd colored raspberry.

Spiked Buckler - I originally thought it would be +1 to AC for anyone, but in the hands of a ranger, it would also be an offhand weapon. Do you intend that it will be only for rangers for any use?

Eagle Totem Armor - the more I look at it, the more I think you got it off an action figure toy your kids had laying around... =D

Thanks for the colors on the essences - perfect!
I like the Rangers only designation for the spiked buckler - you've got another 1 AC shield for everyone else.

I agree that if the Darkwood Shillelagh does the same average damage as the quarterstaff, and is usable by the Wizard, it should be two-handed. If it is one-handed, the damage should be reduced.

So Darkwood Shortbow will no longer be able to be used as a melee weapon?

Correct. It was just too much info for a little token.

What about a new symbol classification for the tokens? You already have the hands to denote one or two-handed weapons, how about a small sword to denote melee weapons and a small arrow to denote missile weapons? This would allow you to easily explain dual purpose weapons like the darkwood bow and the symbol(s) would easily fight above the name of the item.

We don't want the tokens to get to cluttered, but this is a good idea, esp. to indicate weapons that can be both (dagger, Darkwood Bow, spear, etc.).
