TOPIC: How do Combo tokens work?

How do Combo tokens work? 15 years 11 months ago #1

I look at the 2007 Token Guide and have a few ingredients to make some of the Combo Tokens... how do I trade the ingredients in to get the Combo Tokens?

You trade with Dave, in person, at certain times, at GenCon. You can only get the 2008 combos at this year's GenCon, and initially, only from Dave, for the listed recipes.

See this thread for more details: truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=4042.0

And this year's recipes (2008 Combo tokens): truedungeon.com/trueforum/index.php?topic=3954.0

After the combos are on the secondary market (and all combos before the 2008 batch are), then you can get them in trades with other collectors (or on ebay) like any other tokens. The recipes no longer apply. And the trading is no longer an official function of True Dungeon.
An important note, combo items are only available during that one year. So items that could have been made last year (like the gem of blinding for example) will not be available this year.
Now note: if you have ingredients from 2006 (dryders silk, stonefang, etc) these are in high demand because of the specific new combo item this year that requires all of the 2006 and all the 2007 ingredients (and one from 2008), so definately see them as an opportunity to trade for good stuff this year.
