TOPIC: Newbie Questions - Right Equipment?

Re: Newbie Questions - Right Equipment? 16 years 2 weeks ago #13

It might also be important to mention that there is no more Hardcore mode. Nightmare is replacing it in 2008. Even still, if you have all of those tokens on your equipment list I would guess that you would be able to make it pretty far. The only other thing that might be necessary is a few potions of Death's Door.
2. The Ring of Sanctuary for the whole party is a great idea. I think most monsters (even nightmare baddies) will fail on a roll of 4 (+7 will) or less, that’s a 20% miss chance. Who needs a cloak of displacement =D

I do not think it is a miss, just the monster attacks someone else. I would guess if everyone had one, and the monster missed failed his saves gainst everyone , then the monster would not be able to attack anyone, and would have to do something else like drink a potion.

Darkrose your probably right. I guess will have to wait for the coveted Token Guide to be realeased on that one.

One thing more you should consider is healing, lots of it, including Potions of Deaths Door, especially for Nightmare which could be VERY difficult this year!

Good luck!
