I am hoping that has changed since it hasn't been mentioned since version 1. I like that it is just a one year trial period for this, but I'd like Jeff and Company to have it in their toolbox to use again if necessary, even if it is just a year or two or three down the road. It may be successful enough that there isn't a need to do the transmute solution.

True, hopefully we can go back to normal with planning for possible shortfalls while working on the token development side of things.

I like the new option along with regular choice.

Big challenge for token development in future to keep from these "will work for an OE" situations. Hoping that TD keeps an eye on trade adjustments and shortfalls and adjusts accordingly so we don't have the crazy price pain of an $80 OE.

Never good when it costs more to do a transmute personaly than to purchase the token outright on the market.

I think it always costs more to transmute personally then to purchase on the market. It's always been this way.

I think it always costs more to transmute personally then to purchase on the market. It's always been this way.

Very true! Transmuting (formerly Combo Tokens) were invented in the first place for people that had piles and piles of extra tokens laying around with nothing to do with them. Looking at it in that light, the transmutes were kind of free because people had already bought the tokens they used as ingredients.

If you're looking to get a transmute and don't have the ingredients, as Rob said it's almost always more cost effective to just buy the transmuted token from someone.
