I would be concerned that a blanket declaration of at least five years could cause problems down the road, if, say in year three of that window, another unforeseen trade imbalance happens. I agree with the previous suggestion that even if this proposal does turn out to be a one time thing, to give yourself flexibility in each upcoming year.

I also like the suggestions of a Trade 1 to Trade 2 transmute.

Second the idea of a Trade 1 to Trade 2 transmute, as that seems like a more elegant way to fix shortcomings in the market at any given time. Could also be a permanent fix, if it's an evergreen recipe like the Omni tokens. Don't quite like the direct response to the secondary market that the new Super Condensed option creates, as that seems like a slippery slope to take.

Just like the Omnis , print it in a way that can change (or even disappear) each year based on how things are going. e.g.

Oil of Enchantment
exchanged for 25 of any Uncommon armor*
2027 Alternate Recipe – Usable from January 1, 2027, to January 1, 2028:
- 20x DP
- 20x MS

(or whatever combination, the details are just a straw man)

This effectively sets a ceiling for OE, a floor for DP/MS, raises demand for all the other TGs that are currently lower-priority just because OE is the bottleneck for nearly everything, and doesn't complicate things for people who run 8K auctions.

Oh, and the decision of how much TG1 actually gets traded in for OE is determined completely organically by demand, rather than TDA having to guess up front what quantities will work well.

I think you're opening up a big can of worms here even if you state it's only once every 5 years. I'm not sure what is even trying to be accomplished? Over the course of the history of true dungeon trade good prices have always fluctuated. If you're concerned for some reason of a high secondary market price for a TG then just make some tweaks to the recipes needed for this year's transmutes and/or create the 2028 base Token mix to have more of a certain type of Token (add more uncommon armor or weapons, add more arrows, etc.). Way easier than spending time on stuff like this. Good intention, but you're not going to make everyone happy and next thing you know there will be another trade good that is a bit short and people will start complaining and asking for this to be done again. Big headache that's easily avoidable by tweaking the recipes and future base Token mixes.

I could see doing a transmute fix instead of altering the $8K order, I know it's been recommended in the past, I think I've recommended it before.

I'd make it pretty generic instead of specific, I'd say X number of any Trade 1 Tokens for one of any Trade 2 Token.

I'd also recommend that the recipe be for one year only, so you could take a look at it the next year to see if it needed to be altered or discontinued.

That's what I thought it would be too. As long as that's the goal then it's just doing some math to make it happen

Regarding the good idea of offering some form of "exchange a certain number of Trade 1 tokens for some Trade 2 tokens". This is something we plan on exploring next year most definitely. Kirk has shared some great ideas this week, but there is not enough time properly vet the idea before tokens go on sale in a month. So, this "Trade 2" option is being done in a very limited time-frame way.

Would love to see this get implemented towards the beginning/middle part of next year if possible during that normal break period before we start gearing up for GenCon.
