TOPIC: Charm of the Elements

Charm of the Elements 1 year 5 months ago #1

Good evening my TD family. Saw this token on eBay and saw it was being sold for $300 USD and looked it up. It was a Patron token for run 2? does anyone know more about this or if there are more? on the token data base its tagged as " appreciation " but when I look up others like it I don't know which are from runs like this.. is this a rarer token ? any advice or insight is greatly appreciated !!! Thank you all and have a blessed night

Correct. So that means there's probably about 100(?) currently in the wild. Whether the token will appear at another time, or if there will be a transmute recipe like there was for IS Mystic Orb, is currently unknown.

Rumor has it only 140ish we're produced. So we shall see. We know how a certain Goblin loves to shred tokens at end of year.

with that few in circulation, how much would one go for? the one on eBay is gone ( went within an hour or two of me spotting it ) but in the future if another surfaces, what do you think it would be worth ? part of me wants it to stay a patron thing so if I get one I can have one that doesn't have many. I'm kinda curious how many of the Elder Dragon Orbs exist since the 1st orb was a surprise

Unless something really crazy happens the 140 out there are it.

No plans to make it a transmute at this time.

Good to know it's a bit rarer.

I just saw one on Trent for $400: www.trenttokens.com/collections/all?sort_by=created-descending
Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

I suspect if you wait a while you'll be able to get one for much less than $300 - often (but not always) tokens are most expensive when first available.

Or next year you might see a rare version of this token that is -3 instead of -5, etc.

Despite the scarcity I don't think the effect on this token is very desirable, which weighs against whatever it's price will settle at.

I agree. It's a neat Token, and there are only 140, but over time I can't see this thing going for $300. I'm guessing at some point you'll be able to pick this up in the low to mid $100 range.

Guess the question is which population is bigger. The ones looking or the ones selling.

IMO the main down preasure right now is that most of the collectors who would want them right now are probably also patrons. On the flip side that may also mean not that many get put up for sale.
