TOPIC: Token Tools.

Token Tools. 2 years 1 month ago #1

Over the years we have all come up with some ingenious ways of dealing with tokens. i have thought of some as "the most amazing idea of all humankind", just to realize in application, "well, that was stupid". here are a few that i think are pretty good.

1. extendable magnetic staff. great when the dropped token rolls under something or needing to reach between several stacks of tokens on a table. i got it at a local auto parts store for like $5.
2. paper towel cardboard tube. makes moving stacks a breeze.
3. Glad 8 cup containers. great for sorting.

does anyone else have like-minded tools/ideas?

We met a cleric named Leo at GHC. We were being super enthusiastic about “farming”…he was happy to see us enjoying it and gave me 3 of his 25 token sorters. It was 3D printed. I can tell you I use it every month! I have three and need one…looking forward to paying it forward to the next enthusiast we see

Another thing I find super useful is a sealing machine. I use it to seal my important tokens that I know I won’t sell. Helps me feel better they are secure

What do you mean by a sealing machine?

I attached a picture of mine but A food sealer could do the same. Here you see my TEs and skulls in one sealed page that has no access so nothing slides out. A Little assurance when we are fumbling for the TEs in the dark

Ah. I’ve been using Trent’s token capsule pages for Charms of Avarice (page can’t be opened as long as it is in a binder), and Kirk’s token holder pages for Nuggets (tokens are in a sleeve that slides down into the page).

I have a couple extendable wands with a light on the end. Very useful when you drop a token and need a light to help find it. I keep one upstairs and downstairs.

I also bought some large pill containers from my Pharmacist. They have a screw top and hold 40 tokens.

I followed Fiddy's lead of using the token capsule pages from Trent that let you hold one token in a protector or two regular tokens in each spot. The pages must be taken out of the binder to open. They are great for tokens I am planning to trade and hold more tokens than the regular binder pages.

i have found that the smaller pill bottles make great spacers for the briefcases. as the cases fill up i use the "wooden nickles" that can be found at craft stores for like 20 cents each. they're real close to the size of a token.

Thanks Smak. I hadn't even thought about pill bottles for spacers. Great call.
