TOPIC: Pirate Map's and Being Greedy

I would assume that if you are ordering from different accounts and different addresses, worst case is that you could get 5 from/to your address and 5 from/to their address?

I don't think the intent is to penalize families with more than one active TD player. At least I would hope not.

And I don't think I have this issue with True Dungeon, but there are some legitimate situations where the shipping and billing cities don't match. I live in West Allis, Wisconsin. It's an incorporated city. Yet, with some billing systems, when I enter my zip code, it prepopulates with Milwaukee, Wisconsin. West Allis is in Milwaukee County and doesn't always get recognized as being its own city. In that situation, my billing and shipping city will not match. But the zip codes do. Again, don't think this is an issue when I get stuff from TD, but just thought I'd point it out as something that could happen.

For me the good news here is that when it's over, no placeholder cards, no new printing of pirate maps for this year, etc. Hopefully in the next month or two the supply exhausts.

You will often find me comparing TD to CCG games - I think that when it's all said and done the reality is this. Players who build their game around very rare/expensive or limited tokens will gladly trade pallet loads of tokens with low value and which they will not generally use for a chance to get tokens that they WILL use or that they can trade for things they need.

I would personally trade dozens of C,UC,R tokens for a single opportunity to get something better. So a 6-1 trade of a R DP token and 1/10 of an MB to draw a different token where there may be a 2% chance of something much more usable? I'm in all day Satuday and twice on Sunday.

This is the core demand that when understood can be used to better tailor this option in the future.

That would work for me… I don’t have 6 * 5 * 4 * 10 trade goods anyways… that is, what, 1200 level 1 trade goods in excess? (Six of us, 5 PTM’s, over 4 months and 10 trade goods per PTM…). Maybe 200 mystic silks, 150 parchments, and 100 darkwood planks are all I have between my sons and I.

I guess until we know better, I will do mine and have one of my sons do theirs and they can share… for them it isn’t that important to get extra draws… except for those 40 unique platinum bits for our collection…

Fun!

Spirit of this question: Just wanting to do what TD wants us to do and is ok with

As previously pondered in the post Arcanist linked, we have several local people that I introduced to TD (in addition to two of us living together) and we're currently helping them with their transmutes since they're new to it. Can we still mail them IN together if they're clearly separated and labeled (in January we put each person's stuff in clearly labeled small flat rates inside a medium flat rate)? Honestly, in the direction you provided previously, I thought it was an excessive ask to have TD refund return shipping for same destination and have no issue with it shipping outbound to our friends' houses, since they're theirs anyway (and also don't care if TD charges 3x+ shipping and sends it all to one place for the hassle). As in the prior thread, we just want to make sure we're doing what's right.

I'm temporarily locking this thread. Not because anyone has posted anything inappropriate--you've all been very cool. (Thank you for that!) I just want to pause the discussion for a little bit while we work some stuff out internally. We're not ignoring this topic, I promise.
Have you looked it up in the TDb ?
Please post TDb corrections in this thread .
If I write something in teal, it should not be taken seriously
