Maybe a +2 or +3 to hit?

Adding keen definitely infringes on the elf wizard power I hardly ever see used.

Isn't it more infringing on elf to give +to hit since that's the elf ability, while druid already has keen at 5th level?

I still hope when the character cards are redone, that Polymorph moves to just the Druid specialty, and Elf Wizard gets a different specialty (maybe better with Wands, or Scrolls, or bonus to hit with sliding spells). So, I'm totally OK with Iktomi giving a "to hit" bonus, since at Legendary Druids should be the best at Polymorph, since it's the only thing their Class Legendary does.

So, as I recall, one of the biggest issues with the legendary is that it lacks the significant step up in power from the relic.

That said, perhaps the problem isn't the legendary being not good enough, but the relic being too good?

The toothpaste may be out of the tube on that one.

That's an issue, but I don't think that's the main issue. I think the power level of the Legendary is low compared to the other Class Legendaries when looking just at the Legendaries.

The ability to use any polymorph potion without turning it in isn't very useful, it would be much more useful if there were any really awesome transmute potions. That would probably need to be more powerful than Rare - maybe an awesome transmuted polymorph potion? Or maybe it could have the power that the Wizard familiar was going to have.

I like the idea of dropping the 1/room limit and adding a 1/game combination elemental form that does something fun.

The space is open for a 4* or 5* polymorph potion (or several) because of the legendary. If the legendary did give a bonus to hit while transformed though while it might limit future potion development, could still be worth it.

I've advocated for one the last two development cycles, but hope springs eternal. :)

The issue might be that it would be limited to just three classes. Maybe it could have a secondary effect (healing, flight, etc) that would make it useful to all classes that can't polymorph. I'm not sure how you describe it though as having one effect for just 3 classes and another for all classes.

You could do something like "Potion of Polymorph (Roc). Only Wizards and Druids may use the token combat wheel, other classes only get the benefit of flight and attack normally"

Sure, something like that might work. We have the UR Scroll of Flight as a precedent. It could be a Potion Polymorph (Roc, Dragon, etc) for Wizards and Druids, and a Potion of Flight for everyone else. Let's remember to bring that up when token development starts for next year. :)

Monks and rangers get damage wheels for off hand all the time, I’m sure it could fit. More powerful than a cobra or viper potion, possibly brownie, could be used as a Ranger pet (right rangers can use pets or something) I would assume.

Maybe 45 on a six sided token with flight and -2 points of chosen non eldritch damage if “dragon” based in part on cobra being the “top end damage” for Rare and a transmute for everyone requiring other benefits. Reference rare potion of leaping attack for attacking ranged with melee, and frosty lava bock for an uncommon effect almost duplicating for a transmutes token.

For a big bird potion I’d go with maybe more like 42 damage on a 6 sided token, 6 will and see invisibility. Rocks don’t do as much damage, they clearly walk (not fly) benefit from increased confidence, and and have imaginary friends only they can see. Reference see invisibility and monks something (I think they’re two uncommons)

I love this idea.

Any likeness to snark should be ignored, I pun because I love, I wouldn’t research this much for something I wasn’t genuinely invested in.

I think the term Rok is copyright protected, big birds however are not. Emu are not giant, but is the picture I’d use.

Cave bear has the highest total at 50 on six sides, but max is only 12. More consistent good damage with lower max. Playing with the damage wheel is one of my favorite parts of token design. There is so much more design space to explore there if we can get away from the idea of D&D damage dice. Cave bear vs viper, more consistent vs higher max, is just the first step. Holy hand grenade and chaos cannon are fun next steps. But there can be so much more.

Back to polymorph; Keep in mind that any flight granted will probably be limited strictly to when attacking. Basically, it can grant a melee attack at distance. And such an ability should definitely lower damage output or require a step up in rarity (which, I think is the suggestion if we are talking a transmute from rare).
